I couldnt relax with his constant barrage of negativity. Even into the beginning of the concert he was unable to enjoy anything for several songs. Fleetwood Macs amazing performance finally won him over and he unable to resist their charms, but JEEZ! Getting to that point was not so fun. Later, on the drive home, he returned to his snarly behavior, much to my consternation.

So I spoke to him about it yesterday, saying he was acting like a sourpuss and it really upset me to have such a wonderful experience marred by his atrocious attitude. If I couldnt relax whenever we do anything supposedly fun together, whats the point of our ever going out on dates anymore? He apologized, but didnt give much more of a response than that and I sadly shrugged and dropped it.

This evening, he broached the subject again and said he wanted to explain. Then he said he was on the verge of a panic attack several times, and nearly wrecked on the drive home because he had one while on the road. He was fighting his fear with anger, and it started almost from the time we sat down in the arena. He wasnt sure why... but it wasnt the crowd or anything (Im the one who fears being trapped in a crowd sometimes) but rather the anticipation of seeing the band. For some reason, he felt on the verge of freaking out-- and not in the squee-fan-boy way. The arena itself didnt seem to help matters, nor the people he was surrounded by... things were bugging him, but he wasnt sure what.

Gerick has watched me confront and process my own traumatic memories (what few I have) of many alien abduction (or related) experiences, and he said he realized that several things were triggering his near panic. He was embarrassed and confused, because he wasnt even sure what he was so afraid of... and his bizarre negative attitude was the result of that.

I was glad he told me and thanked him for sharing something he generally keeps severely under wraps. He doesnt like talking about his issues or experiences much anymore. He really hasnt much in the last 15 years. I didnt for a while myself, so I get it. I only started "coming out" again after my post-traumatic problems surfaced following several contact experiences in 2006.

This personal revelation of the strange by-product of his "secret life" began a discussion that was very much needed.

I admitted, for example, never having been in a major arena before (smaller ones indoors, and outdoor ones, sure) that I had a funny reaction to finding myself in the tiered seating, looking out over the sea of seats and people. I was amused by how TINY the arena was. I had bits of memory surface about being in an all-white grand arena, full of benches as opposed to seats, with much more space to move around (not crammed together as in where I was Sunday night) and just SO MUCH BIGGER than The Rose Garden arena! Of course, I remember several times being in this place, either with a few others, or in some sort of massive, massive meeting of all kinds of aliens and humans... but most of the details are lost except in a very few instances. I didnt feel the same triggers, however... The very prosaic, human nature of all the people surrounding me proved to be quite reassuring, ultimately. People talking and coughing and shifting in their seats and the whole, restless, noisiness of everyone. The DIN of the masses of humanity under the roof of an arena like that was also in stark contrast to what I remember of the Big White Arena-- the sound was seemingly swallowed up by the silence in Big White. The few humans speaking verbally during massive meetings was very quiet in comparison to the entirely mute aliens surrounding us, and few of us verbal types seemed inclined to get into much conversation in such a setting-- kind of like the attitude of being in a public library.

So I did indeed feel weird a few times, and I had some unsettling bits of memory surface. But they didnt frighten me and I was able to stay firmly in the here and now reality of a bunch of people happily getting ready to hear an awesome band play. During the performance, moreover, the audience participation-- clapping, singing along, calling out to the band-- was also utterly and completely unlike any alien setting. HUMANS ARE LOUD! In massive groups, we can be intimidating-- but sharing a collective experience of music and lights and artful projected backdrops was uniquely uplifting in a way that I was only too willing to surrender to most happily!

Meanwhile, Gerick was getting massively triggered-- but rather than admit that at the time he fought it with personal anger. And we talked about how much were entitled to be angry. Other things are completely horrifying and utterly inexcusable by any human moral standards, but if you can remember it consciously, you can, with some help and persistence, lessen the impact of the original trauma. But by far MOST of what has happened to us we CANNOT remember-- and that creates a huge problem for us psychologically.

Most abductees have some weird personal reactions and issues that remain a mystery to them on a conscious level. Like I became completely freaked out and sickened of the idea of eggs to break open, cook, and then eat. There was something about the appearance of a raw egg, broken, with the little cord of tissue connecting the yolk to the white that sent me over the top for several years from about 13 to maybe 17 years old. I got over it eventually, but I recall that I started being really weird about eggs for a time, even hiding eggs to "protect them" and carrying them around with me secretly (never to the point they went rotten though, thank goodness) for several months, in my early teens. Even at the time, I was entirely mystified by my own behavior and remained so for several years. Thats just ONE small, easily hidden, behavioral quirk that I struggled with out of who knows how many dozens-- or maybe hundreds. I dont know where it came from because I DONT REMEMBER. But despite not remembering what triggered these behaviors in me regarding chicken eggs, I was obviously acting out after some event influenced me in a very powerful way.

Ive said recently that Ive learned to try to take a breath and take 2 mental steps back whenever I witness an abductee behaving oddly. It was facing the window that has a great view of Portland and I saw 8 lights evenly spaced all moving at the same speed. All the light moved together. None of the went up or down. They all followed together like attached to something very big. They were really far away over Portland. Looked like jets but no loud booms. This was hidden behind the clouds but the lights shined through the clouds. I have a view of Portland outside and I thought at first it was airplanes but a jet took off. That Portland airport jet looked like a bug next to these lights. I dont know about aliens from outer space. I thought of star destroyers when I saw the light because of how far away it seemed and filled up the south sky still. I can see all the way to Clackamas hill. The only planes I know that fly in formation are fighter jets. But this was moving so much slower. It was very far away but it seemed to be going 5 miles an hour. A car on the road at that speed would be 5 miles an hour but if this was really far away who knows who speed it was really going. Fighter jet also usually are in groups of 2 or 3 this was 8 and the one at the end was alone. But even fighter jets that far apart cant be in sync. It was slowly moving north east but mostly east.. I dont know what that was but I was somewhat afraid. All I have to say is whatever it is or was be sure to be save just in case its the beginning of the end. I drew an image to show what the light pattern was. this was no normal aircraft... I also included the airplane that was taking off so that the size was easily read.

National Archives of Australia (NAA) file series A703, control symbol 580/1/1 is a 35 part series of RAAF UAP reports. The Disclosure Australia Project (2003-2008) had a large number of these files digitised. However, a small number were never processed in this way. At the request of Melbourne researcher Paul Dean, part 12 of the series, barcode 646560 held by the NAA's Canberra office has just been digitised. It makes interesting reading.

CAR PACING, AND A 'COMET': This is a 219 page digital file titled "Reports on Flying Saucers and Aerial Objects." Interesting reports on this file are as follows, in case readers wish to read the detailed version for themselves.

1.A teletype dated 20 Jun 1969 from RAAF base East Sale, Victoriacontains details of a report passed to the base by the local police. Two men told the police that a bright light in the sky had seemed to pace their car from West of Bairnsdale to 3 miles south of Stratford.

2. RAAF Base Darwin reported via teletype dated 16 Jan 1970 that a "comet-like" object was seen from Alice Springs, NT between 3-7 Jan.. It was a white object with a long tail to the south-west. The RAAF explanation for this was that it was either a meteorological balloon or a comet.

3. The Police Inspector's office at Deniliquin, NSW in a report dated 23 May 1969 described how a Mr Dillon at 4am, while sewing barley seed, reported an object the size of a motor car had come down out of the sky towards his tractor. It had stopped over his car, some 400 yards from his tractor, remained there for 2-3 minutes then disappeared to the north. Several mother people saw this object on the same night of 17 May 1969.

4. On 23 May 1969 Graham Longy of Glenorchy, Tasmania, was in his toilet at 1am when he saw through the window, an object on the lawn adjacent to his house. There is a file note dated 4 Jul 1969 that states "The Department of Civil Aviation telephoned this Headquarters on the 3rdJuly 1969 to report similar sightings at the East Lakes Golf Course on the 27thJune and 30th June."

On 5 Jul 1969 a Mrs Martin of Cottesloe, WA reported that at about 5pm while driving near Roleystone she had seen, high above the tree line in front of her car then to the right of the vehicle, a metal/silver coloured, oval shaped object. It seemed to glide and slowly gyrate. It was last seen to view behind her car. Mrs Martin also stated that at one point in the observation a man with a camera dashed out of bushes and she nearly ran him over.

The man with the camera, a Mr Peter Spackman of Cloverdale, WA also came forward. He said that at about 4.40pm he was at Roleystone. It was a fine, but cloudy day when he first saw an object through trees, then above them. It was a solid object in flight. It was several times larger than the Moon in angular size. The object turned and banked frequently, occasionally tumbling slowly. It disappeared into cloud in the west. There was no sound at any time. He used a Polaroid 180 camera to take a photo. The total duration of the sighting was 40 minutes. The RAAF investigation officer wrote that he had seen the original Polaroid shot and that "...there does not appear to be any doubt that it is a genuine photograph of what the observer saw." There is unfortunately no copy of the photograph on file.
