Spielberg May Be Making Documentary About Russian Ufo Lake

There's rumors coming out of Russia that Steven Spielberg will make a documentary about Lake Baikal, the world's deepest freshwater lake and the location of numerous UFO and alien sightings. Is Spielberg finally going to have a close encounter with a real E.T.?

The Siberian Times reported this week that the world famous director would be visiting Lake Baikal in May to kick off the filming of "Depth 211," a documentary about one of Siberia's hottest hotbeds of UFO activity. Completely surrounded by mountains, the remote lake contains one-fifth of Earth's unfrozen surface fresh water (more than all the Great Lakes combined) and dates back 25 million years, making it the world's oldest lake.

While there have been many sightings of glowing objects and flying saucers over the lake, the most interesting sightings have come from divers exploring its depths. In 1977, two men in a submersible ship turned off their lights at a depth of 1200 meters and were suddenly hit by a strange glow from above and two sides. After a minute, the lights went out and they were back in darkness.

The most famous encounter was in 1982 when seven military divers came face-to-face with aliens. Historian Alexey Tivanenko describes the meeting:

At a depth of 50 meters, they met swimmers, around three meters tall, dressed in tight-fitting silvery suits. They did not have any scuba or other devices, just helmets on their heads.

The divers suddenly and mysteriously found themselves on the shore suffering from decompression and three of them died. Their descriptions of the aliens were said to resemble the beings pictured in petroglyphs found in the area.

My friend Mike and I swore each other to secrecy about that night in 1985. We promised we would never tell anyone whathappened, but since that night, things for both of us seemed to change somehow.

Mike and I used to do what we called "all-nighters": we'd get in the car with some munchies and soda; Mike would bring his guitar and we would drive for at least two or three hours on the back roads of Pennsylvania, out to the middle of no-man's land. Basically, our intent was to drive until we got lost, then switch drivers and find our way home. In our part of Pennsylvania, getting lost in the sticks isn't too hard.

GETTING LOST

That night was the last day of our sophomore year in high school, so we decided to celebrate with an all-nighter. We loaded up my car and off we went. I was driving out because it was my turn to get us lost. The early summer night was very hot and the sky was clear. Mike was playing some tunes on his guitar, and we were having a great time. I should mention at this point that we were not in the least intoxicated. Mike is diabetic, so liquor was never part of our all-nighters. After about two or two-and-a-half hours of driving, we were pretty well out in nowhere land.

And that's when it happened.

I was at the wheel and turned down a dark road by an old broken-down farm house. Suddenly, there was a flash of light and a bang! I hit something! It was just that quick, all happening in an instant. I slammed on the brakes and Mike and I looked at each other. I uttered a few choice words and immediately opened my door to get out of the car. But Mike screamed at me, "Stay in the car! Stay in the car! Let's get the hell outta here! What was that? Let's go!"

Strangely, I was fairly calm, ignoring the fact that there was a bright flash (or whatever it was). I thought I hit some animal. I wanted to get out to see if there was any damage to my car. I did get out and looked around. Mike, meanwhile, was having a fit because we were not buggin' outta there. I looked carefully. No damage to the car, nothing in the road or under the car. Yet I felt strange... like I was being watched.

And just that suddenly I was hit with an overwhelming sense of terror. I had to leave that place and leave it right away.

"Mike, we've got to get out of here NOW!" I said.

Mike was really starting to freak out. "What is it?" he said. "What is it?!"

"I don't know, but we have to move - NOW!"

By this time Mike had already slid over to the driver's side of the car and had it running. I hopped in the passenger seat. Mike turned the car around and floored it.

We drove for a mile or two down the road without saying one word to each another. Our eyes were focused intently out the windshield. Then we saw, crouched by the right side of the road, this "thing." It looked like a Bigfoot... only different. It looked into our headlights, stood up and ran in front of the car, across the road and into a large grove of trees. Mike hit the brakes as we both screamed.

"What in God's name was that?" he yelled.

"How the hell should I know," I yelled back. "Get the hell outta here!"

Mike jammed on the accelerator and off we sped at about 80 mph. We didn't say a word all the way home.

WHAT WAS IT?

The next day we talked about the entire night before: that strange flash of light, the bump, the feeling for horror and that "thing" we saw. I can only describe it this way: When it stood, I'd say it was about 6 feet tall, ape looking but human looking at the same time. It was extremely thin and covered in scraggly white or gray hair. It had an oversized mouth with lots of teeth. And its eyes... God, its eyes looked human and frightened. I think we may have scared it as much as it scared us. I don't know.

Mike and I didn't talk much after that night. But he did tell me that he began to "see things" every now and then. I admitted that the same was happening to me too. We both seemed to see, for lack of better terms, "monsters"... "things" - I don't know, just things that shouldn't be here. I don't know what the heck we drove through that night or what it did to us, but it definitely did something.

My friend Mike passed away last year. He died in a car accident. Another person who saw the accident said it looked like he "swerved to avoid something."

I know this all sounds crazy, and this is the first time I've ever told this story. Something did happen to us that night. A vortex, a time hole, a doorway into or out of a different dimension... I don't know. Whatever it was, both Mike and I began to see things after that night, and they're not ghosts.

Two Ufo Sightings In One Week In Uk

The two mysterious bright lights were photographed on January 6 floating over Chatham.

Less than a week later four similar lights were seen over Essex, shining brightly against the dawn.

The remarkable sightings were made just 30 miles apart in an area now dubbed the country's UFO hotspot.

The first image was captured by Ernestas Griksas, 21, who was taking a picture of a cherry-picker outside his home in Chatham at around 1pm.

When he looked at the image afterwards he saw the bright disc-shaped objects.

He told the Sun: 'There are two white discs I can't explain. I'm nowhere near a flightpath. One is slightly fainter as if it is further away or going at a different speed.'

The second sighting came last Friday at 7am when car salesman Josh Cummins spotted four bright objects in the sky as he drove to work through Loughton, in Essex.

Mr Cummins, 21, told the newspaper: 'I nearly crashed. I stopped to take this picture with my mobile. It was like the UFOs were surfing the clouds. They were there for 15 seconds then vanished.

'I wasn't a believer in UFOs but this made me think again.'

UFO fanatics will no doubt lay claim to the sightings as evidence to support their theories of alien life.

Expert Nick Pope said: 'Assuming the images are genuine, they're interesting, though the smaller objects (in the first picture) weren't seen at the time, which raises the possibility of some glitch with the camera.

He added: 'The South-East does seem to be a hotspot at present. I'm not sure why.

'One possibility is that it's a self-fulfilling prophesy, where one media report smokes out more from the same area.

'Another is that it's a consequence of population density as there are more potential witnesses if there's anything odd in the sky.'

Both sightings were about 75 miles, as the crow flies, from Rendlesham Forest, in Suffolk, which became known as the UK's Roswell after a group of servicemen went into the forest to investigate some mysterious lights and came out convinced they had seen seen an alien spacecraft.

Meanwhile, TV presenter Chris Evans reported an unexplained sighting yesterday.

He tweeted: 'Approx 40 mins ago went out to walk the dog. Something passed overhead - alight, too low for a shooting star and then disappeared. Berkshire.'

He added: 'Looked too fast for a Chinese Lantern. Hope it was something exciting.

Hello Brian, I had another impressive sighting a few minutes ago!

At 19:04 I looked out of the hallway window of my place, which faces the Thornhill mountain in southeasterly direction, when I seen two white stationary objects close to the mentioned mountain range.

Both objects had a very bright white appearance and were twice big in as the planet Venus.

I watched the two objects for approximately 2 minutes and both of them went at different times invisible before reappearing again. After that I left my place and walked slowly towards the two objects.

The visual distance between the two was "two outstretched fingers wide". I would estimate the distance about 2.5 - 3 kilometers.

Suddenly a third object appeared very close to the most eastern (left) object. This object was white white and suddenly became orange before becoming white again!

The most western object repeated this color change from white to orange and back to white. All three objects were gone at 19.11.

All in all a very impressive sighting, not as impressive as what happened to me at other times, but still very exciting.

National Archives of Australia (NAA) file series A703, control symbol 580/1/1 is a 35 part series of RAAF UAP reports. At the request of Melbourne researcher Paul Dean, part 12 of the series, barcode 646560 held by the NAA's Canberra office has just been digitised. It makes interesting reading.

CAR PACING, AND A 'COMET': This is a 219 page digital file titled "Reports on Flying Saucers and Aerial Objects." Interesting reports on this file are as follows, in case readers wish to read the detailed version for themselves.

1.A teletype dated 20 Jun 1969 from RAAF base East Sale, Victoriacontains details of a report passed to the base by the local police. Two men told the police that a bright light in the sky had seemed to pace their car from West of Bairnsdale to 3 miles south of Stratford.

2. RAAF Base Darwin reported via teletype dated 16 Jan 1970 that a "comet-like" object was seen from Alice Springs, NT between 3-7 Jan.. It was a white object with a long tail to the south-west. The RAAF explanation for this was that it was either a meteorological balloon or a comet.

3. The Police Inspector's office at Deniliquin, NSW in a report dated 23 May 1969 described how a Mr Dillon at 4am, while sewing barley seed, reported an object the size of a motor car had come down out of the sky towards his tractor. It had stopped over his car, some 400 yards from his tractor, remained there for 2-3 minutes then disappeared to the north. Several mother people saw this object on the same night of 17 May 1969.

On 5 Jul 1969 a Mrs Martin of Cottesloe, WA reported that at about 5pm while driving near Roleystone she had seen, high above the tree line in front of her car then to the right of the vehicle, a metal/silver coloured, oval shaped object. Mrs Martin also stated that at one point in the observation a man with a camera dashed out of bushes and she nearly ran him over.

Ufo Sighting In Milwaukee

UFO SIGHTING IN MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN ON JUNE 16TH 2013 - OBJECT WAS HOVERING WITH SHORT BURSTS OF FLAME COMING FROM BOTTOM. IT WAS MOVING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH WHILE DESCENDING.

I was watching the basketball game in the kitchen when I got a call that I wanted to take privately, so I stepped out of the side door of the house. As I was in a heated debate on the phone, I looked up and noticed something in the distance above the treeline. I stared at it, and as I did so, short bursts of flame began to come from the bottom of the object. The flame would switch from left to right as the object wobbled a bit; as if it was trying to maintain balance. That's when I yelled to my girlfriend to "go get my camera". She did, but it took at LEAST 40 seconds for her to do so. As I continued to stare at the object, waiting for my camera, I noticed that the flame at the bottom of the object began to lose it's intensity. As the flame went from a full flame to just a red glow, I noticed that the object was slowly losing altitude, and drifting slowly south east, toward Lake Michigan. As it dropped below the treeline, I began to run out of the yard and down the street so I can see around that particular treeline. I could, and again, I could see the object. The red glow at the bottom of the object was barely noticeable at this point, and the object began to descend more straight down than southeast and down as it was before. It began to lose altitude faster, until it went below the treeline at that location, which was approximately half a city block to the south of where I was when I first began to record. I waited at this location for about 30 minutes for the object to ascend or reapear, but it never did. While I was recording, I was not looking at the viewfinder; I was just pointing the lens in the direction of the object, so I had no idea if I actually had what I was seeing on the camcorder. But after a discussion with neighbors and others who were present, I went inside, connected the camcorder to the television, and began to view the footage. I've been from that point on, compelled to find out what I saw is. I contacted the local police, military, FAA, News Stations, etc., trying to find out if they had anything on the radar at that time and area of that day, but.....nothing; even though I expressed to them all that I had this thing on video! This incident has not only caused me a great deal of concern, it has changed my life, and challenges many things I believe. I have always been open to the possibility of the existence of such things, but never saw anything that came anywhere near actually convincing me that they are real. All that has changed now though. That thing had no sound whatsoever, it had no wings, and it had no tail end. It looked almost like a giant church bell with a flame at the bottom. Had I not recorded what I was seeing, I would have long since just assumed it was something normal, that can be explained. But after viewing this thing in slow motion on zoom, I am convinced that it is not, and can not. I will be attaching a copy of my video with this report (If it will upload). My animus is to have an expert opinion of what it is that is on my video. it was certainly intelligently operated, and it was definitely a mechanical craft of some sort, and not a balloon or anything like that. I for some reason had a feeling of desperation as this thing was descending. It is the same desperate feeling I felt that made me look in that direction and up in the first place when I first noticed the object. I'm left feeling as though whatever it was, it was losing power, running out of fuel, or something to that effect, because it seemed to be struggling to maintain it's altitude. It was a struggle that It evidently lost. The object was moving slowly in the direction of the Lake; which leads me to believe that it was attempting to get out over open water. In fact, it seemed to be trying very diligently to do so. I have no idea if it landed in the water or over land. All I know is it landed or crashed somewhere slightly south east of where I was, and never came back up. After you review my video, please get back to me and let me know what you think.
