"I walked outside my condo in West Linn, Oregon, to walk the dog at around 8:00 PM. It was completely dark except for the stars and the crescent moon - there were no clouds in the sky. Instantly I heard dogs barking and howling in the northwest direction of the neighborhood, but my dog remained silent (he's not a me-too barker).

Right away I looked up in the sky as I always do when I go outside, and to my left I saw a low-flying vehicle that was coming from the southeast direction and heading northwest. I estimated it being between 50 to 75 yards up in the sky. It was close enough that I saw the bottom of the metal, triangular-shaped vehicle. I was thinking it would hit some trees or crash because it was so low, but apparently it didn't.

I could see the bottom of this jet-sized vehicle, but it was triangle shaped and didn't look like a plane or jet. It was at least 75 feet long. Afterwards, when I stretched my arm out where I saw the vehicle before, it was the size of my hand (woman's hand).

There were bright orange lights on the bottom. I watched it zoom by at about 100 miles an hour - it looked like a fast moving car speed. I could only watch the vehicle between the trees, probably for about 5 seconds max. My dog and I ran to see if we could see anything on the other side of the trees, but it was nowhere in sight. The dogs kept barking when the vehicle passed over in their direction. It was so silent, my dog didn't even look up.

As I took shots I just kept saying to no one, "What IS this?" While attempting to capture shots the shape changed. Id stop and look out the window to see if the light looked differently and then go back to the camera lens. I kept trying to determine if this was a plane or blimp or what. For the first few minutes it just looked like a sphere. Then it seemed to change shape or size so I just kept taking pictures. At one point I almost laughed at myself figuring I would hear that it was just some special display. AS IT SEEMED TO CHANGE SHAPE it just suddenly was gone. When I looked at the shots I got I decided that it was not a plane or blimp or any flying object that I could identify. I went back on my patio and noted that it was a clear night with stars visible but the stars visible were much smaller and not orange in color. NOTE: This is only one of many amazing photographes.

I live well north of the nearest large city (Columbus, Ohio) and I know where the airport is and I see aircraft all the time and am familiar with the flight paths. There is a small aircraft airfield (Don Scott Field) well south of me, but this object appeared from the north and turned northeast. I lost it when it got behind some trees and was gone by the time I was able to get to a clearing. I attached two pictures...the original from my phone and one where I added some text to describe it. I don't have a smart phone so there was no zoom, otherwise the picture would have been much bigger. Tweed Heads resident Cheryl-Lee Martin has seen UFOs on three separate occasions, most recently right here in the Tweed while taking in some fresh air.

Mrs Martin told her story to the "Tweed Daily News" this week as it marked world UFO day.

"I was sitting outside and there were no planes in the sky, because I can actually hear and see their flashing lights.

"What actually appeared were two lights that lowered, the lights got larger and larger and weren't flashing whatsoever. When I turned to the left I saw both of them there and went 'holy dooly'," Mrs Martin said.

On another morning, while visiting her sister who was staying in Surfers Paradise, Mrs Martin was taking pictures of the sunrise from the balcony and captured another UFO in the sky.
