Ex Navy Scientist Slams Cia Ufo Claims

Claims by the CIA of a 'tremendous' increase in reports of UFOs when the U2 spy plane started flying in 1955 are wrong according to a former US Navy optical physicist, Dr Bruce Maccabee.

In a new book containing the formerly classified history of the U2, the writers, Gregory Pedlow and Donald Welzenbach, claim that the USAF received a greatly increased number of UFO sighting reports from pilots and ground based observers after the U2 began test flights on August 8, 1955.

According to Dr. Maccabee, the numbers of sightings per month received by the USAF's Project Blue Book, as reported in the "Final Report of the Scientific Investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects" (Air Force Contract F44620-67-C-0035, E. U. Condon, Director; Bantam Books edition, 1969, pg 514) totally contradict the CIA claim.

According to the Final Report the number of sighting reports in July, before the U2 started flying, was 63. In August, when U2 test flights began, the number was 68, an increase of only 5 or about 8%. Then, in September, there was a decrease to 57 reports, a drop of almost 20%, even though the U2 continued to fly. Averaged over a longer time the statistics show little or no impact of the U2 flights on sighting rate.

In his book, "The FBI CIA UFO Connection "published last September, Dr. Maccabee shows that the number of UFO sightings reports for 10 months preceding the first U2 flights is the same as the number of reports collected during the ten months following the first flight.

'These statistics clearly do not support the claim of a 'tremendous' increase in UFO reports when the U2 began flying,' Dr Maccabee said.

Triangle Ufo With Orange Lights In The Corners Seen Flying Over San Diego California

Date: February 14, 2013Time: Approx: 7:45 p.m.Hi my name is (name removed) I live in San Diego, California, and on February 14, 2013 (yesterday) around 7:45 p.m., my friends and I were outside listening to music. As I was looking at my friend, I was able to see what I thought was a plane on fire. I asked my friends what was it, and that's when we were able to tell it was no plane or no fire. It was orange lights close together. While we were looking at it, the lights spread apart and then went close back together and just disappeared. We found it to be real strange. After about 10 minutes. We noticed about 6 lights flickering. After further observation, we were able to see the lights were at the tips of a triangle. It was coming from the direction of the previous orange UFO we had just seen. I was able to call my whole family and we all witnessed it. Everyone was scared. As we were fallowing the triangle as furthest as we can, we noticed it was hovering towards what seemed to be a bright star. But stars do not turn on and off like this one was doing. It would make great sense to me if the first orange UFO was a single man extraterrestrial aircraft that had been loaded on to the triangular UFO, which then flew towards the mother ship. I know it sounds crazy, but we all know what we seen. I can't find nothing about it on the news or Facebook and its kind of irritating because I don't want to be the only one writing about it on Facebook and have all my friends think I'm crazy. I'm not scared at all, as I am a believer in the ancient astronaut theory. I just want to know the truth already.I give you permission to send this letter or show it to whomever you may have to, to get answers. I also have a video on my phone of the triangle UFO lights. You can't see much, but I'm sure if you can enhance the videos quality somehow, you will definitely be able to see it. The Top End Of Oudemans Sea Serpent Scale

I have been indicating Oudemans' table of sizes and proportions on page 492 of the Great Sea-Serpent and I have indicated that I think that proportions of the more visible parts of the Sea Serpent's body are correct in the first few (Smallest) columns (Always remembering that the long tail probably means the wake in most cases) Why then does the table continue on to what are truly monstrous sizes? To quote Oudemans' text that refers to this table: "I have ventured to draw up the following table of the animal's proportions for ten individuals [10 sample sizes-DD], differing in age or sex.

I am far from asserting that these dimensions will [Absolutely] prove to be correct if ever an individual should fall into the hands of men, but I am sure that they are approximately correct.

Perhaps you will in no case admit the possibility of the existence of an animal of 250 feet [in length]! Well, I leave it to you to fix yourself the utmost possible length of our Sea-serpent!"

[By Oudemans' count, the number of sightings estimating a total length of over 100 feet is around 10% of the total number of reports, and of course that '100 feet' now has to be reduced for some length of tail. Dropping off that top 10% of size estimates makes the largest legitimate size range of sightings equivalent to the HMS Daedalus Sea-serpent and in fact the text does state exactly that]

What I think has happened (And as a matter of fact, what "I think I can prove" about what happened) is that the largest reports that Oudemans tallies refer mainly to mistaken views of big whales, taking them for Sea-serpents, either singly or several in a line at once. In the instance above at far right, the actual sighting taken to be the midsection of a Sea-serpent is actually a sighting of the whale, and the extended lengths of head and tai are imaginary. The two figures in the center are Oudemans' reconstruction drawing for the Sea-serpents and the whale figure is repeated at far left purely for scale. This is a humpbacked whale.

In the case of the largest Sea-serpent tabulated, Oudemans clearly states above the table that the measurements are from the HMS Osborne Sea serpent sighting. LAKE SAM RAYBURN, TX (2/6/2008) - Little green men in the Lone Star state? Within the past few weeks, KLTV 7 showed you alleged UFO sighting in Stephenville. The video set off a flood of calls and e-mails from our viewers claiming their own close encounters. One of those East Texans says she has video proof of UFOs that she didn't even realize she'd taken. She showed that video to us.

They've been a part of our culture since the fifties, conjuring up both our fascinations, and our fears.

Now, Whittney Sullivan says something made it's way to Lake Sam Rayburn. Last summer, Whittney was out on the lake, recording a family outing on her cell phone.

"I turned around and went like this back to them and when I went back to my face and I got a phone call," said Whittney.

When she got home that night to watch the video, she saw this: a foreign black object in the sky that she never saw earlier, and certainly didn't know she had recorded.

"I wish I would have been looking at the screen when I brought it back around to me," said Whittney, "Because I would have seen that and looked up in the sky, and seen what it was or where it went but I wasn't looking at it."

For just an instant you can see something, a flash, and then it's gone. But when slowed down the image evokes more questions.

"It's just weird that it showed up like that and nobody else saw it," said Whittney, "It's pie shaped, it's round and it has the perfect round in the middle. It's very strange."

Strange, and inexplicable, not only to Whittney, but to everyone she's shown the video to.

"A lot of my friends when I showed them the video they were like oh that's a blimp or a bird or a bug. But it can't be a blimp because it goes really slow, there is not many around here. That could be ruled out. I don't think it was an airplane because you can hear an airplane, you can hear it's jets. And it wasn't a bird. It's just really unexplainable I don't know what it is. And when she thinks about what it could be.

"If it was a UFO that is really scary because if we are sitting out there, not just us but other people around in that open spaces and there is other life flying above us and we didn't even see us," said Whittney, "How many other times did it happen and we didn't see it we want to know what you think it is."

Daytime Plasma Ufo Creates Buzz Over Pike County Usa

Social media sites were abuzz Tuesday night with multiple witnesses reporting a strange object floating high in the daytime sky. Hovering in place for over an hour the most unusual object was visible across several counties, including Pike and Letcher Counties.

The clear blue sky ensured the mysterious object sparkled, to the naked eye it appeared to be a bright star making an incredible daytime appearance.

One Virgie, KY witness was able to observe and capture images of the object with a high powered telescope. 150 times magnification revealed the long elongated almost truss like object with plasma beams traveling between two spheres at each end. The magnification required suggests the object was extremely high in the sky, possibly at the edge of space. Under closer scrutiny the object also appeared to be very mechanical in shape.

The ability to hover for over an hour also raises question of control and propulsion, gravity should have dragged it down in that time. The ability to fight gravity in a steady way also implies control.

According to the local Williamson Daily News "Employees of the Daily News and City Tire, which is right across the street from their offices, saw the object hovering for well over an hour. Customers of the automotive repair business also saw the UFO. Heads were turned skyward toward the object. At times it appeared to get brighter."

"Several jets appeared to fly in the vicinity of the UFO. Contrails could be seen zigzagging all around the object. This made for much speculation by those who witnessed the strange, airborne object."

Not wanting to conform the Pike county UFO looks like no other craft seen before. Looking so unusual and witnessed by dozens of people, this is obviously no stealth aircraft. The plasma beams traveling the length of the object may also suggests vast amounts of high voltage power are being used here.

Are there similarities with NASA's Tether Incident, had NASA been testing a dual tether magnetic propulsion system? Did the tests fail once again?

Here at Highpants we hear talk that NASA hasn't given up on Tether propulsion and that this was the final stages of the test, re-entry. The light show created was a result of high energy particles in the upper atmosphere that make the tethers glow like a fluro light.

"THE NASA TETHER INCIDENT"

The infamous Tether Incident occurred during a NASA experiment with a magnetic propulsion system that went awry, creating some of the most spectacular UFO footage in history. The tether itself was a spherical satellite with a mile long strand of wire or tether, which ran from the satellite back to the Space Shuttle. When the satellite was activated a high voltage charge would run through the wire creating a magnetic field that interacted with the Earth's magnetic field and create a form of magnetic propulsion. That was the theory anyway, the tether broke and both satellite and tether drifted off into space, only to be followed by what appeared to be dozens of UFO's.

The strange objects in the sky may this time be NASA's handiwork; the fact that so many witnesses saw the event may suggest that the bright glow was an unexpected side-effect. With such a brilliant day time light show observed by so many and creating such a buzz can the MIB be far behind.
