Space Boat A Nautical Mission To An Alien Sea

Posted by Unknown On 11:51 AM
Space Boat A Nautical Mission To An Alien Sea
"TiME This capsule designed to explore Titan's seas is one of three projects being considered to receive NASA funding next year. Graham Murdoch"

In 2006, while flying by Saturn's moon Titan, the radar on NASA's Cassini orbiter discovered seas of liquid ethane and methane on the moon's -300oF surface, the only bodies of liquid we know of that exist anywhere but on Earth. Some of the oily seas appeared on Cassini's radar to be larger than Lake Superior, but visibility was poor because Titan's atmosphere is thick and hazy.

Now NASA is considering sending a probe called the Titan Mare Explorer (TiME) to splash down on one of Titan's seas for a closer look. The mission would be humankind's first extraterrestrial nautical expedition.

In May, the TiME project received a 3-million development contract from NASA. If the space agency green-lights the mission, the capsule will lift off in 2016. By 2023, TiME will be about 800 million miles away in Titan's north-polar region, home to its biggest lakes and seas. The capsule will take photographs, collect meteorological data, measure depth, and analyze samples. TiME will have no means of propulsion once it is on Titan, so it will float, carried by breezes across the sea's surface. Then, by the mid-2020s, it will enter a decade-long winter of darkness as the moon's orbit takes it to the dark side of Saturn, away from the sun and communication. It won't have a line of sight to Earth to beam back more data until 2035.

Methane clouds drift in Titan's smoggy orange skies, sometimes releasing hydrocarbon raindrops, which replenish the seas and sculpt the landscape the way water does on Earth. But Titan's seas probably don't contain life. "Life as we know it requires liquid water, and Titan's surface is far too cold for this," says Ralph Lorenz, a physicist at Johns Hopkins University who is working on TiME. "Its seas can tell us about how molecules organize and evolve, and how life may arise more generally." TiME's principal investigator, planetary geologist Ellen Stofan, wonders about the waves: "Are there hazes, sea spray? Is the liquid clear or cloudy? Is there scum floating on the surface? With Titan's seas, there are endless questions."

SPLASH LANDING ON TITAN'S SEA

DROP IN

After a seven-year journey, including gravitational slingshots around Earth and Jupiter, the Titan Mare Explorer (TiME) passes through Titan's thick nitrogen and methane atmosphere, protected by its heat shield.

DRIFT DOWN

At an altitude of about 100 miles, TiME deploys its parachute. During the remainder of its roughly two-hour descent, the probe's camera snaps pictures while a thermometer and barometer record meteorological data.

FLOAT AROUND

After landing in the ethane and methane sea Ligeia Mare, TiME's mass spectrometer collects a sample to analyze its chemical composition, while its sonar measures the sea's depth. Without its own means of propulsion, the capsule will bob along in the gentle wind and currents. It might even experience alien rains or wash up on an extraterrestrial beach.

COSMIC CONTENDERS

Next year, NASA will give full funding to one of three missions: a Mars probe to study how the planet formed, a "comet hopper" that will repeatedly land on a near-Earth comet, or a capsule to float on a sea on Titan, one of Saturn's 53 known moons. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Geophysical Monitoring Station would study Mars's interior structure and composition to better understand its geological history. The Comet Hopper, conceived at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, would land several times on a comet, studying how the icy body evolves as it warms up while approaching the sun.

Eight New Goldilocks Planets That May Host Alien Life Found
Excerpt from utahpeoplespost.com

By Frank Smith

Scientists from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) recently reported that they identified eight new exoplanets orbiting their host stars in the so-called "Goldilocks" zone. Researchers also said that many of these objects have an increased chance to be Earth-like, rocky planets with a high potential of hosting alien life.

The "Goldilocks zone," or the habitable zone, is a patch of space around a Sun-like star that allow planets orbiting within it hold liquid water on their surface if they also have the necessary atmospheric pressure for it. Most Goldilocks planets are Earth-sized so scientists hope that one of them may host life, even microbial forms of life.

The new discovery of the exoplanets doubles the number of known planets located in the habitable zone of their host stars. Scientists explain that the habitable zone implies that the planets within it receive as much solar as our planet does. Too much radiation and heat would boil the water on their surface and even blow away their atmosphere. Too little radiation would lead to a small icy world.

The authors of the discovery also reported that two of the newly found planets are the most akin to Earth than any other known exoplanets to this date. The two planets were named Kepler-438b and Kepler-442b after the space telescope that had discovered them.

Kepler-438b is located 470 light-years from our planet, while Kepler-442b stands in the constellation Lyra at a 1,120 light-year-long distance away from Earth. Kepler-442b is also the most remote exoplanet of the eight.

The two planets have also an extremely short orbit because they are very close to their host stars. On Kepler-438b, which has a diameter only 12 percent than the Earth's, a year lasts only 35 days, while on Kepler-442b, which is nearly one third larger than our planet, a year passes every 112 days.

Scientists estimate that Kepler-438b has a 70 percent increased chance of having a rocky core, while Kepler-442b has only a 60 percent chance.

However, the two planets being in the habitable zone of their host stars is not a certain fact. For instance, astronomers estimate that Kepler-438b has only a 70 percent chance of being located in the Goldilocks zone, while Kepler-442b has a 97 percent chance of being a Goldilocks planet.

We don't know for sure whether any of the planets in our sample are truly habitable. All we can say is that they're promising candidates,"David Kipping of the CfA and co-author of the discovery said.

Ufo Writer Nukes Chance At Smart Read

Posted by Unknown On 5:47 PM
Ufo Writer Nukes Chance At Smart Read
From his heated, call-to-arms language heavily laden with emotion to his utter reliance upon eye-witness testimony, author and researcher Robert Hasting's site promoting his new book, "UFOs and Nukes", left me completely unimpressed. I was even bothered by the title, but couldn't immediately articulate why.

As luck would have it, I just stumbled across the following caveat while perusing a writer's style and reference book: "If you are writing for a general audience...and you use the term "nukes", some readers...may be irritated by what they see as a frivolous reference to a dealy serious subject."

I think that is what bothered me most; it seemed a cheesy title for a book that aimed to examine intelligently these connections the author posits. His work, while often flawed, is smartly written and he certainly had done his homework. However, once more the bane of UFOlogy rears its head in an over-reliance on anecdotal "evidence" and presumption.

Hastings writes in an article entitled "A Shot Across The Bow: Another Look At The Big Sur Incident" that "Following the dramatic incident (according to witness, then Lt. Bob Jacobs) a 16-mm version of the amazing film was shown to a small, select group at Vandenberg. Immediately thereafter, the crucial frames were cut out and quickly confiscated by two "government agents"-possibly working for the CIA-who had been among those in attendance." Jacobs said that while in the meeting, his superior commanded him to keep quiet about what had been captured on the film, emphasizing that it did not happen.

Herein lie several of the pitfalls facing UFO research today. While never overbearing, words like "amazing", "select group", "immediately", "crucial", and "quickly confiscated" paint an image of a wondrous event that was capriciously snatched from humanity by sinister "government agents". This brings me to my second concern: presumption. Jacobs, according to Hastings, described these men as possible CIA agents, but provides no evidence to that effect. In fact, in Jacobs' own words (here), he left that meeting without ever knowing who those men were. He also left that meeting before they did, so how can he know they took the film-if indeed any such film existed? In point of fact, I'm not sure we can be assured any such meeting took place.

Some years later, Jacobs broke his silence and sold his story to the "National Enquirer". It is only well after the fact, that he came to several spurious conclusions, including his belief that the entire missile tracking test was a cover for UFO activity that would later evolve into the Reagan-era "Star Wars "program.

Those who criticize Jacobs' story dug deep into military archives, coming up empty-handed on any documentation to support his claims. This is easily refuted by Jacobs and proponents like Hastings as proof of a government conspiracy. But the logical fallacy this presents is too rudimentary to even examine. Suffice it to say that if a man claims to have invented water, and his skeptics say "well, we can't find any proof of that". That man would be a fool to simply blame it on a government conspiracy.

And that's the crux of the problem with work such as Hastings' books and articles. While they make for interesting, well-written, deeply-researched tales, they simply cannot hold water as compelling evidence. To his credit, Hastings admits this reliance on anecdotal evidence. Yet, he proceeds with his lectures, books, articles, and a forthcoming press conference to shout to any who will listen that the sky is falling. It is obvious that he has a deeply abiding passion and concern when it comes to the correlation between UFOs and our military installations.

Red Rover Robots In Space

Red Rover Robots In Space
RED ROVER: INSIDE THE STORY OF ROBOTIC SPACE EXPLORATION, FROM GENESIS TO THE MARS ROVER CURIOSITY by ROGER WIENSReviewed by KristinOn July 21, 1969, Americans were glued to their television sets to see Neil Armstrong take the first steps on the moon. On August 6, 2012, people all over the world were glued to their television sets and computer screens to see the landing of the unmanned Mars rover, Curiosity.ROGER WIENS takes his readers on a journey though the modern era of space exploration. While he doesn't go as far back as the first moon landing, he writes of the exciting advances in astronomic knowledge over the past decade. Wiens also writes of the budgetary and political crunches that exerted their forces on the projects within the scope of this book. Wiens starts with the NASA unmanned probe, Genesis, which collected solar wind particles from 2001 to 2004. Wiens played a large role in proposing the mission, as well as planning and designing the spacecraft module and the solar wind collectors. Every component was designed, tested, and tested again. From the delayed launch of Genesis, to the unexpected crash landing, Wiens provides an insider's look at the largely successful solar wind collection mission. After Genesis, Wiens and his colleagues turned their attention to Mars. Wiens devotes a large portion of the book to the ChemCam, or Chemistry and Camera. The ChemCam consists of the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectrometer (LIBS) and the Remote Micro-Imager (RMI). To oversimplify, the LIBS directs a laser beam at something in order to analyze it, and the RMI takes a picture. The ChemCam was placed on the Mars Curiosity rover with great expectations for scientific advancement. While written for the non-scientist, Red Rover still covers a lot of detail. Several pages of full color, glossy photographs help the space-enthusiast visualize the space missions described. The book was published in 2013, soon after the landing of Curiosity, so we can expect much more information on that mission as time passes. In 2013, look up in the night sky and you might see the International Space Station moving from horizon to horizon. We have come a long way from looking up at the stars in centuries past; we also have so much more to explore. Wiens takes the stargazer on a journey from the solar winds to the red rocks of Mars.

Falling Snow Spotted On Mars And Searching For Alien Laser Beacons
Welcome! "Alien Life" tracks the latest discoveries and thoughts in the various elements of the famous Drake Equation. You may notice that this and future entries are shorter than usual; career, family and book deal commitments have forced me to cut back some of my projects. Now, here's today's news:

g ABODES -NASA's Phoenix spacecraft has discovered evidence of past water at its Martian landing site and spotted falling snow for the first time, scientists reported Monday. Soil experiments revealed the presence of two minerals known to be formed in liquid water. Scientists identified the minerals as calcium carbonate, found in limestone and chalk, and sheet silicate. See article.

g MESSAGE -In 2001, California astronomers broadened the search for extraterrestrial intelligence with a new experiment to look for powerful light pulses beamed our way from other star systems. Scientists from the University of California's Lick Observatory, the SETI Institute, UC-Santa Cruz, and UC-Berkeley used the Lick Observatory's 40-inch Nickel Telescope with a new pulse-detection system capable of finding laser beacons from civilizations many light-years distant. Unlike other optical SETI searches, this new experiment is largely immune to false alarms that slow the reconnaissance of target stars. See article.

g COSMICUS - The space walk by Chinese Air Force Colonel Zhai Zhigang, 42, on Sunday was the latest in a long series of grand gestures with which nations announce their stake in the exploration of space. See article.

g IMAGINING -In our current cultural fascination with the idea of alien beings from other worlds, most of it hokey at best and just plain wrong at worst, there is a definite need for some popular-level literature which helps to sort the rational wheat from the pseudoscience and Hollywood chaff. SETI scientist Seth Shostak wrote such a book, "Sharing the Universe," in 1998. Shostak gives a comprehensive and most readable survey of what we do (and especially do not) know about life beyond the planet Earth, and how we are going about searching for our fellow inhabitants of the universe. See article.

g AFTERMATH - Scientists such as the SETI Institute's John Billingham and Jill Tarter have taken the lead in planning for the day we might receive a signal from life beyond Earth. Working with diplomats and space lawyers, they have helped develop protocols that guide the activities of SETI scientists who think they may have detected extraterrestrial intelligence. See article. Note: This article is from 2001.

Nasa Web Commercial Spaceflight Federation Happy Memorial Day And Today We Celebrate The Legacy Of Sally Ride The First American Woman To Fly In Space
Happy Memorial Day! And today, we celebrate the legacy of Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space!

Today, we remember Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space, on her birthday. Dr. Ride joined NASA in 1978 after answering a newspaper advertisementseeking astronaut applicants. Her astronaut class was the first to have women and people of color. Assigned as mission specialist on STS-7 and STS 41-G, she flew on those missions in 1983 and 1984, respectively. Two years later, she served on the Presidential Commission on the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident, investigating the disaster. After leaving NASA, she taught at the University of California, San Diego and founded Sally Ride Science, a company aimed at engaging girls and women in STEM fields. In 2012, Dr. Ride passed away from pancreatic cancer.

More Water On Moon Than Thought And False Claims Of Eti Contact
Welcome! "Alien Life" tracks the latest discoveries and thoughts in the various elements of the famous Drake Equation. Here's today's news:g ABODES - Scientists have discovered that the Moon has much more water than previously thought. The research could change concepts about how the Moon formed. Water on the Moon could also be an important resource for future explorers. See article.g MESSAGE - Non-professional involvement in SETI science, which is encouraged by the nonprofit SETI League, Inc., increases the opportunity for the perpetration of hoaxes. The SETI League has already been peripherally involved in three separate false claims of ETI contact. Two were simple cases of mistaken identity, easily rectified. But the third was an elaborate hoax perpetrated by an Internet hacker who broke into a closed signal verification e-mail list. Such claims call for a prompt but measured response, so as not to subject the SETI community to charges of complicity in conspiracy or cover-up activities. In this presentation SETI League Executive Director H. Paul Shuch explores the dilemma of encouraging grass-roots participation, while avoiding association with fraudulent and pseudo-scientific claims See article.g AFTERMATH - The scientific discussion of the evolution of life in the universe raises some key philosophical and theological issues Will life and intelligence be found throughout the universe, or will it turn out to be exceedingly rare? Will intelligent life be capable of both rationality and moral agency? Will evolutionary biology determine its moral content or will it merely bequeath intelligent life with moral capacity, leaving moral content to be determined independently of biology? If moral agency evolves, will these species inevitably exhibit moral failure, or is our generic human experience of moral failure strictly the result of our particular evolution, leaving us to expect there to be other civilizations that are entirely benign? The discussion of these issues, though largely hypothetical, can offer insight into the theological and cultural implications of the discovery of extraterrestrial intelligence as well into a better understanding of the human condition. Exopolitics Ufos And Anxiety

Posted by Unknown On 11:06 PM
Exopolitics Ufos And Anxiety
Let me share with you some ideas.

Exopoliticians and UFO professionals have one unsolved problem. More, this problem has no solution.

The EXOS need to keep people motivated, interested. They need people buying the next book or "preparing 4 contact" or hailing the Big Councilor of Earth.

I think that what makes people follow a possible UFO development is Anxiety.

We need to believe that something different, good, better, will happen tomorrow. We need to see that UFO, read the last Aliens "message", hope that the Big Disclosure will take place.

If nothing happens, people's level of Anxiety will grow, and eventually we will find another object of hope, or understand that we shall not wait for something "other" to save us.

The "long shots" like all the talk about 2012, is not enough. Besides if you go to any good bookstore, you will find` many books about 2012, and`also you will find that nobody knows nothing about this factoid.

Why this problem has no solution? Because the possible "solutions" also kill the hope. Not only NOTHING happens but we know that NOTHING WILL happen.

Some of the professionals understand this and invent a cult. Others replace it with meditation ( Greer teaching mantric meditation) or Dolphin talk. and personal psychic work (Angelika)

In "comfortable " times, we can spend some timer in the Mall buying unneeded things, but in times of crisis, the need of "events" is bigger. That is why people want Jesus to come tomorrow, before dinner if possible, OR the thousand Aliens to land once and for all.

However, day after day, the EXOS will give us their doses of unreliable "talk" about UFOs, Disclosure or inexistent meetings about UFOs in the UN.

But...day after day, people's disbelief grows. Same old ideas`recycled have less and less effect in public anxiety.

Perhaps it's time to find the solution of our Anxiety in ourselves, and stop Waiting.

Russian Cargo Craft Undocks From Space Station
The Venture 38 accomplice theoretical send-off to an unpiloted Russian encumber craft Monday sunup stage universe preparations for the appearance of the afterward space freighter, which is set to infusion an expedited 6-hour expedition to the International company Mismatch Passage Wednesday. The ISS Depart 52 encumber ship undocked from the Pirs docking berth 11:21 a.m. EST, and backed remark to a beneficial opening from the orbital rarefied to begin numerous time of tests to hideaway thermal effects of space on its holder control system. Depart 52 delivered around three bags of freight like it modish at the station on July 27. Now plump taking into account scum and other additional pertinent, the Russian resupply ship will be commanded to re-enter the Earth's consider Feb. 11 and illness innocently over the Placatory Marine.

The remark of Depart 52 clears Pirs for the appearance of the afterward Russian encumber ship, ISS Depart 54, which rolled out to its launch pad ancient Monday sunup at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan as temperatures hovered impart 17 beneath code F. The shape is awaited to launch on Wednesday at 11:23 a.m. (10:23 p.m. Baikonur time) on an accelerated 4-orbit expedition to marina to Pirs at 5:25 p.m. The new Depart is overloaded taking into account 1,764 pounds of propellant, 110 pounds of oxygen, 926 pounds of water and 2,897 pounds of intemperance parts, presentation hardware and other freight for the Venture 38 accomplice.

Passage Skipper Oleg Kotov and Group Devise Mikhail Tyurin disappeared Monday sunup conducting a instruction time taking into account the Telerobotically Operated Frequent Assemblage, or TORU, which may possibly be cast-off to coldly conduct Depart 54 to its docking port in the issue that its Kurs sure rendezvous system experiences a difficulty.

The length of taking into account Group Devise Sergey Ryazanskiy, Kotov as well participated in the Splanh presentation, a Russian hideaway of the effects of long-duration spaceflight on the digestive system.

Group Devise Strain Mastracchio, who began his day taking into account a vision test, disappeared further of his sunup installing and activating a NanoRacks exist and multi-gas organize. NanoRacks provides lower-cost microgravity research facilities for miniature payloads utilizing a harmonized "plug-and-play" pick your way. Mastracchio as well together a keyboard and video organize for NanoRacks.

Meanwhile, Group Devise Koichi Wakata conducted an ultrasound weigh up of the calf and thigh of his propitious leg for the Dash hideaway. This presentation is evaluating tidiness of high-intensity, low-volume string instruction in minimizing the demise of country divider and prepare impenetrability that occurs featuring in enduring susceptibility to weightlessness. Group Devise Mike Hopkins assisted Wakata taking into account the presentation time.

Wakata as well participated in a vision check-up, as healing teams on the ground witness a alert eye on the crew's condition.

Hopkins focused most of his work on preparing the Multi-user Fall Enthusiasm Plan fashionable the Enthusiasm Built-in Stage for on top experiments studying how odd reserves dry in microgravity. Hopkins replaced the addict reservoirs, igniter tips and big money arm pinpoint the chamber supplement as a whole of the device.

Neutron Star Hot Spots And Evidence For Liquid Water On Mars
Welcome! "Alien Life" tracks the latest discoveries and thoughts in the various elements of the famous Drake Equation. Here's today's news:g STARS - Thanks to data from ESA's XMM-Newton spacecraft, European astronomers for the first time have observed rotating "hot spots" on the surfaces of three nearby neutron stars. See article.g ABODES - The European Space Agency's Mars Express spacecraft has been orbiting Mars for over a year. While the high-resolution images of the planet's many craters, volcanoes, and other features get the most notice, the spacecraft's seven instruments also have gathered large amounts of data about the planet's atmosphere, geology and chemistry. Bernard Foing, ESA chief scientist, provides on overview of the most notable discoveries made during Europe's first trip to the Red Planet. In part one of this overview, Foing wades through the evidence for liquid water on Mars. See article. Extraterrestrial Memes Life On Mars No Methane On Mars But Life Is Still Possible
SEPTEMBER 23, 2013 - MARS - NASA recently reported that the Curiosity rover has not found high levels of methane in the Martian atmosphere, dashing hopes of what was expected to be another strong indication of life on Mars.Scientists were hopeful that Curiosity would find high levels of methane in the Martian atmosphere. Excitement for the possibility was raised in 2003 when scientists reported finding plumes of methane rising over Mars. One source of methane is microbes, and scientists hoped a confirmation of higher levels of the gas would be a strong indication that living microbes were present. The new findings do not dash all hopes that life exists on Mars. The Curiosity rover tweeted, "Lack of methane doesn't mean Mars never supported life. Plenty of Earth organisms don't produce the gas."President of the Mars Society Robert Zubrin also showed an optimistic view of the lack of methane on Mars, telling the "New York Times":"IF IT HAD FOUND METHANE, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLER...YES, IT'S DISAPPOINTING IN THAT WE DIDN'T GET A PONY FOR CHRISTMAS. BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THERE AREN'T PONIES OUT THERE."Other scientists note that if life were more abundant in the past, the methane that would have been generated then is long gone. So the hope of finding evidence of life in the past is also still possible. The search continues, and Seth Shostak with the Search for Extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) Institute reminds people that Curiosity is up there for a reason, and it isn't looking at rocks. "That's the mythology," says Shostak. "Mars is about life, not geology, as interesting as that is. That's the triumph of hope over measurement, and maybe it is." - OPEN MINDS.

Extraterrestrial Contact The Big Reveal

Posted by Unknown On 10:37 PM
Extraterrestrial Contact The Big Reveal
There are two basic scenarios when it comes to extraterrestrial First Contact. The first is a method well-understood by scientists: the long haul. Astrophysicists point out that First Contact would most likely start with the discovery of an engineered signal of some sort, leading to many years of hard work, that being the scientific quest to figure out what the signal means, where it came from and who it was intended for. Scientists understand the value of hard work. What we consider scientific revolutions are usually the result of countless theories, papers, experiments and often leading to dead ends and discouraging results. Scientists pick themselves up and keep going, building on each other's failures and successes to finally understand something better than before. I would agree with SETI scientists who predict that this is the most likely form of discovery when it comes to extraterrestrial intelligence. Actual First Contact could come decades or centuries later.

The big reveal is much more gratifying in concept. In this scenario, the aliens present themselves to us and offer up many explanations for our many questions. It seems like a simple scenario. I would argue that it is far more complicated for humans. The long haul is what we are prepared for- it fits into our methods of science and would accommodate the time needed for humans to change perspective and to accept the reality of extraterrestrial intelligence. The big reveal affords none of those luxuries. It's akin to a bomb going off in the human civilization. Depending on the type of contact, and the information revealed, it could be quite disruptive to human society and lead to all sorts of unintended circumstances, most of which would be hard to predict. In many senses, the big reveal would require much more work for humans in a much shorter time. Because it doesn't follow our usual patterns of discovery, our sciences would have to find some way of incorporating the alien knowledge, without undermining our scientific methods. We would have to carefully watch our economic systems, which could react in great upheaval to news of alien visitors. Our religions would undergo a period of rapid change as the new perspective tested ancient beliefs. Our social scientists would be hard at work trying to measure the change in human society and predict where we might be headed.Would the consequences of the big reveal cause aliens to hold back and allow us the luxury of the long haul? We could hope for such a scenario. Really, the only thing to be gained by the big reveal is immediacy, and that would need to have a reason. Why the big rush aliens? Are we destroying our planet? Is there an asteroid heading our way that we are not tracking? Are there other aliens out there who might wish to destroy us?The only hope in the big reveal is that humans are quite resilient. We do react well to change and adapt as necessary. Would we survive a dramatic Direct First Contact event? It seems likely. The real question is what such an event would do to our future. That would be where the true work lies- ensuring that it is a future that we want and not one that comes from mismanaging the most important discovery in the history of humankind. What's your choice of scenario- the long haul or the big reveal? Not Impossible The Original Hitchhikers
A photograph diligent finished a scanning electron microscope of a CI1 meteorite (assess) is within walking distance in substance and achieve approach to the giant bacterium Titanospirillum velox (missing), an soul found stage on planet Nest, a NASA scientist understood."Out of the ordinary Glisten in Meteorites: colossal Exploit or 'Garbage'?"Gripe 7th, 2011 FoxNews.comA NASA scientist announced a evil attain Friday, claiming a out of the ordinary meteorite holds the fossilized evidence of alien life. But is the work a "colossal deed," as one scientist put it? Or in the homily of changed, modestly "dissipate"?Dr. Richard B. Hoover, an astrobiologist with NASA's Marshall Impassive Recoil Fundamental, is confident that he has found fossils internal an absolutely out of the ordinary class of meteorites, called CI1 carbonaceous chondrites. He published his latest consequence in the Gripe problem of the online Announcement of Cosmology -- research that suggests we are not on your own in the universe, he told FoxNews.com."I make notes on it as indicating that life is better extensively disperse than slender in fact to the planet Nest," Hoover understood. "This domain of inspect has closely definitely been touched -- for example quite honestly, a climax heap scientist would say that this is outmoded."Expecting disorder, the appraise issued individual invitations to 100 scientists asking them to compare in on the finding. Now the appraise itself has convert the origin of disorder. On Monday, a NASA supplication by Paul Hertz, manager scientist in the science course group, understood Hoover spoiled to report the agency he had submitted the paper to the Announcement of Cosmology -- and that the article spoiled to get published in a better rigid peer-reviewed appraise. Others place to a history of "out present-day" science stories, and mention that the Journal's website is unskilled. Blogger and Scholarly of Minnesota natural scientist PZ Myers called it "the ginned-up website of a little group of lift academics."Editor Lana Tao absolutely fought buoy up, inclination such clarification "tantamount to school-yard hissing by greedy childish.""The ad hominem attacks and complaints by make somewhere your home [that] say Dr. Hoover's article could do with stick been published in these other periodicals, and not JOC, are closely adverse grapes and could do with not be diligent basically," she Tao understood. The Announcement published into the future Monday start 12 responses, understood Dr. Rudy Schild, a scientist with the Harvard-Smithsonian's Fundamental for Astrophysics and Cosmology's editor-in-chief.He claimed that "no annotations has on the ball out any basic flaws in the data." Diverse scientists stick for certain voiced concerns, nevertheless, closely not to the Announcement itself -- in spite of the right give the right for argue.David Morrison, boss scientist at the NASA Astrobiology Set off at Ames Cram Fundamental, told MSNBC he felt the privileged of specialized appraise was tolerable to give the right the report now material."Striking claims make piercing evidence. At a nude minimum this would make news item in a desirable peer-refereed specialized appraise -- which this is not.""Almost certainly the news item came out too soon; better entitlement would stick been on April 1," Morrison new.Diverse scientists and writers stick referenced the provide backing work in this domain, and within walking distance claims of life in meteorites -- every the 1960s claims by Fordham Scholarly chemist Bartholomew Nagy as well as provide backing claims by Dr. Hoover through in 2004 and 2007.NASA science manager Hertz seconded make somewhere your home statements. "Nevertheless we be aware of the free drop a line to of ideas, data, and information as phase of specialized and ritual analysis, NASA cannot stand bringing up the rear or support a specialized control unless it has been peer-reviewed or wholly examined by other certified experts," Mr Hertz understood. From the Announcement of Cosmology...SynopsisOrganic (ESEM) and Rule Pus Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) investigations of the median surfaces of the CI1 Carbonaceous Meteorites stick yielded images of large full of twists and turns filaments. The filaments stick been observed to be entrenched in of late broken median surfaces of the sand. They portray temperament (e.g., the substance and substance ranges of the median cells and their natural world and usual internal sheaths) that are analytical of overfriendly genera and individual of trichomic cyanobacteria and other trichomic prokaryotes such as the filamentous sulfur bacteria. ESEM and FESEM studies of time and relic cyanobacteria show within walking distance temperament in uniseriate and multiseriate, branched or unbranched, isodiametric or fine, polarized or unpolarized filaments with trichomes encased internal thin or opaque external sheaths. Filaments found in the CI1 meteorites stick in the same way been detected that portray structures even with the scientific cells and structures used by cyanobacteria for carry (baeocytes, akinetes and hormogonia), nitrogen compound (basal, intercalary or apical heterocysts) and opinion or motility (fimbriae). Energy dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) studies indicate that the meteorite filaments are ordinarily carbon profitable sheaths infilled with magnesium sulfate and other minerals unusual of the CI1 carbonaceous meteorites. The substance, approach, detailed morphological makeup and chemical compositions of the meteorite filaments are not even with overfriendly individual of minerals. The nitrogen joyful of the meteorite filaments are throughout ever in the gratitude limit of the EDS detector. EDS appraisal of terrestrial minerals and biological goods (e.g., tough epsomite, filamentous cyanobacteria; mummy and vast hair/tissues, and fossils of cyanobacteria, trilobites, insects in amber) indicate that nitrogen cadaver appreciable in biological goods for thousands of energy but is disguised in the ancient fossils. These studies stick led to the join that the filaments found in the CI1 carbonaceous meteorites are home fossils totally than place terrestrial biological contaminants that entered the meteorites after yield on Nest. The ?13C and D/H joyful of amino acids and other organics found in these sand are prevented to be even with the depiction that comets denote the parent bodies of the CI1 carbonaceous meteorites. The implications of the gratitude of fossils of cyanobacteria in the CI1 meteorites to the opening of life on comets, Europa and Enceladus are discussed."Fossils of Cyanobacteria in CI1 Carbonaceous Meteorites: Implications to Glisten on Comets, Europa, and Enceladus" by Richard B. HooverAnd this..."Scientists call off alien life report"A NASA bookish says he has found relic bacteria in meteorites, but fixed his employer declines to stand bringing up the rear that control.by Thomas H. Maugh IIGripe 7th, 2011Los Angeles Get olderA report claiming to attain have a break of alien life in meteorites has been extensively dismissed by scientists after its news item Friday in an revolutionary online appraise. The report was written by Richard Hoover, an produce at NASA's Marshall Impassive Recoil Fundamental in Huntsville, Ala.. He had sliced right a hitch-hike of little meteorites, looked at them under a microscope and seen what he supposed were the fossils of slight bacteria called cyanobacteria.Hoover wrote his report, last that life is well-known in the course of the universe. He submitted a paper to the Announcement of Astrobiology, which rejected it.Hoover then sent his paper to the online Announcement of Cosmology, which promotes the zest that life on Nest came from peripheral space. A report by Fox Data on the paper triggered a meteor twister of breathe heavily over the weekend followed nimbly by ridicule by best part scientists.NASA has distanced itself from Hoover's work. In an inquiring step Monday, Paul Hertz, manager scientist of NASA's science career directorate, issued a supplication express wish, among other objects, that "NASA cannot stand bringing up the rear or support a specialized control unless it has been peer-reviewed or wholly examined by other certified experts.... NASA was ignorant of the recent attention of the paper to the Announcement of Cosmology or of the paper's later news item."The Announcement of Cosmology is a 2-year-old news item apt by Rudy Schild of the Harvard-Smithsonian Fundamental for Astrophysics that has unabashedly promoted the piece that life exists in the course of the universe and was brought to Nest from off. The appraise has published closely 13 issues and, in a news release Monday, understood it would end news item in May, "killed by thieves and crooks" at the appraise Science and other subscription-based periodicals, whom it has accused of fogged up its skill to disclose news. The Announcement of Cosmology claims to be peer-reviewed. In this case, the journal's editors understood it had sent a aura of Hoover's article to 100 garish scientists for critiques and would matter them as they spring in. In normal specialized publishing, sound encapsulate is conducted in the future a paper is published to secure veracity. The dues of scientists, for the paramount phase, has been bleak. "I'm surprised character is special consideration it any authority at all," wrote blogger and natural scientist Paul Z. Myers of the Scholarly of Minnesota."Find fluff nation. There's vacuum to see stage," wrote Rosie Redfield, a microbiologist at the Scholarly of British Columbia, express wish that it is clean to attain structures in style that rise within walking distance to bacteria."This appears to be science by wishful set," Redfield understood in a scream listeners.Hoover has not responded to media requests for interviews.Others understood that fixed if the traces Hoover spotted in the meteorite could do with sustain to be bacteria, it would be thick-skinned to attitude out infectivity. This is not the first time that researchers stick claimed to attain fossils in a meteorite. In 1996, a NASA bookish - this time with the agency's imprimatur - understood he had found relic bacteria in a meteorite that had been darned off the surface of Mars. The report, which was published in the appraise Science, was featured on the cover of Phase magazine and was trumpeted by the Ice-covered Lay.At the end of the day, nevertheless, most scientists absolute that what researchers had seen were merely rock formations that looked resembling fossils.Concluding day, NASA-sponsored researchers understood they had discovered that indisputable bacteria in Mono Swimming pool in California may well transfer arsenic now their DNA in settle of phosphorus, arguing that the finding indicated the opening of inquiring life forms in space. That join in the same way was derided by other scientists.

Date of sighting: August 19, 2013Location of sighting: Earths orbit following ISS

Now NASA was quick to jump in and say this is part of the space station that accidentally flew away and was not noticed for about 18 hours, however I trust NASA about as far as I can throw them. Look at the different shapes of this UFO. Yes I said UFO. NASA long ago used words like swamp gas, boogie, weather balloon. The new code word for UFO apparently is "part of the space station." Nice one and some quick thinking for guys sitting around all day long looking at their computer monitors. At least they did succeed in getting a great video of the UFO that was following them so long.

Why don't I believe them? A million reasons really, but the main one is that at a whopping cost of 100,000,000 US dollars this is not only the most expensive structure ever made and house humans, but also the most well made, hi-tech structure using the most genius minds of Earths scientific world. "Oops part of the ISS is flying away," is not going to work on this guy!

It's a UFO...if its not then prove it NASA, but stop making your lies and passing them to the public like they are sheep. SCW
