Ufo Sighting In Milwaukee Wisconsin On June 22Nd 2013 Bright Orangeredyellow Ball Flew In From E Hovered 20Sec
UFO SIGHTING IN MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN ON JUNE 22ND 2013 - BRIGHT ORANGE/RED/YELLOW BALL FLEW IN FROM E, HOVERED 20SEC, TURNED AND ASCENDED BACK E CLIMBING AT A SLIGHT ANGLE.

I was walking N on south KK whennotice what I thought was a flare. The object was traveling W towards my direction. It slowed to a stop and hovered for 20sec. There was no sound or smoke/vapor coming from it. From the distance of around 500ft it appeared to be 200-300ft from the ground. It appeared to be searching for something. It seemed to about the size of a small van. After hovering it turned back E and slowly ascended away from me at a slight angle until it disappeared into the hazy distance. The object had a burning quality shimmering between orange/red/yellow colors. It's shape orb-like and didn't alter much except for the fire-like shimmering. I felt compelled to walk towards it. May have just been curiosity, but it's almost like it was putting a question in my mind that I can't quite remember. I took a photo with my iPhone. It's a little shaky and no ground reference is in the shot. I have enhanced slightly to make it less grainy. I have attached both copies. The coordinates for the object when it hovered are approx: 42.992439 -87.881799

Strange Markings

Strange Markings
Things have been pretty slow in the UFO investigation business lately. But, having just been assigned my first new case in three months, I thought it would be a good idea to look in on what's been going on with my fellow Certified UFO Field Investigators at the Mutual UFO Network...So it was that, while catching up on recent issues of the "MUFON Journal", I came across an article with the intriguing title, "Abduction Study Complete." When I saw that the article was written by Kathleen Marden, niece of celebrated UFO abductees Barney & Betty Hill, I decided it was definitely worth a look.A while back, Marden and a MUFON colleague un-ironically named Stoner decided to study the reports of UFO abduction "experiencers" to see if there were any patterns or commonalities among them. Aside, of course, from the obvious commonality that they've all been abducted by freaking aliens, which I was able to deduce without studying anything at all. Anyway, to conduct their little study, Marden ">The Clapper: alien tech? This has given me an idea. When I'm done watching TV, it takes forever for me to find the remotes for the TV, the cable box, the surround sound system, the Blu-ray player, and then shut everything off for the night... If I had one of those 68 out of a 100 abduction experiencers in the family, I'd be living on easy street. I could just call them into the living room, watch all the electronics shut off, and then tell my personal AE that it was all a mistake and they can go back to doing whatever they were doing when I called.Sadly, Marden and Stoner did not think to ask those AEs if their electric device turning-off abilities had had a positive effect on their lives. That would be worth studying.

MYSTERIOUS CLUSTER OF LIGHTS SPOTTED ABOVE OSAKA ON AUGUST 30, JAPAN SHAPING UP TO BE POPULAR UFO DESTINATION

By en.rocketnews24.com

8-31-12

On the night of August 30, a cluster of multicolored lights was seen floating in the the sky above Osaka.

Several people reported to Twitter that they saw a group of lights forming a triangular shape and flashing green, red and white in the night sky above Izumi city in Osaka prefecture.

The sightings caused a commotion on the Japanese Twitterverse after one user wrote: "Everyone in Osaka, go outside! There's a UFO!", prompting others to grab their cameras and snap up photos of mysterious luminous object.

Still, some people were quick to discredit claims that the lights are a UFO, pointing out that traditional sightings report UFOs as being circular in shape....

Ufo Spin In The Uk

Posted by Unknown On 12:03 PM
Ufo Spin In The Uk
By Robert Hastingswww.ufohastings.com8-8-10 The British Government is declassifying UFO documents. But do they tell the whole story? Last week, amid much media fanfare, the British government declassified another batch of UFO-related documents-the sixth such release in recent years-in response to ongoing public interest in the phenomenon. UK journalism professor Dr. David Clarke is a consultant to that country's National Archives and has more or less set himself up as an expert on what this, and the previous document-releases, tell us about the British government's knowledge of UFOs.Regarding the latest batch, Dr. Clarke told the BBC: "Since the Freedom of Information Act arrived in 2005, this subject-UFOs-has become the third-most popular subject for people to write to the Ministry of Defence, saying 'please could you release this file, or papers that you hold on this particular case.' What they've decided to do is to be totally open and to say, 'look we're not holding any secrets back about this subject. We've got all these files and we're going to make them available to the public.'"Well, Dr. Clarke may believe that the British government is being totally open on the subject of UFOs but many others, including myself, have strong doubts. A case in point is the U.S. Air Force's closure of Project Blue Book in 1969. The project's termination, and the eventual declassification of its files in 1974-75, left the impression-as was intended-that the military had lost interest in UFOs and was making public the sum of its knowledge about them. In reality, as U.S. Freedom of Information Act requests eventually proved, other groups within the Air Force, and other government agencies-including the CIA and the National Security Agency-had also collected information on UFOs for decades, especially in cases where the national security of the United States was potentially impacted. Many of those highly-secret cases-involving ongoing UFO incursions at nuclear missile sites and nuclear weapons storage depots-had been kept from public view long after the U.S. government supposedly came clean on its knowledge of UFOs. Importantly, at least one nukes-related UFO incident occurred in the UK, at the American-run RAF Bentwaters airbase, in December 1980, something that has yet to be officially acknowledged by the British (or American) government. These very relevant facts seem to be lost on Dr. Clarke, who has naively taken the British government at its word. According to his online bio, Clarke is "a senior lecturer in journalism at Sheffield Hallam University where [he teaches] media law and investigation skills. [His] Ph.D is in Folklore and was completed at the National Centre for English Cultural Tradition, University of Sheffield, in 1999."Clarke's position statement on UFOs, again from his self-published bio, reads, "My approach to the subject of UFOs and UFOlogy is from the viewpoint of a journalist and a historian. Although I take a sceptical stance, I remain open-minded about the possibility that some 'UFOs' might have an exotic origin, most probably as UAPs-Unidentified Atmospheric Phenomena..."In response to a recent post by Dr. Clarke on the UK UFO.org blog, regarding the supposed significance of the latest release of documents, I posted the following message:"Any new information is a positive development. Of course, the Brits are doing what the U.S. is doing: releasing the low-level stuff, when pressed, while keeping the really sensitive material classified-and unacknowledged. It's called 'spin.'"To illustrate my point that information relating to the "really sensitive" cases was still being kept secret-despite all of the hoopla surrounding the latest document-release by the British government-I then mentioned that the former Deputy Base Commander at RAF Bentwaters, now-retired USAF Col. Charles Halt, is on-the-record regarding his having witnessed a disc-shaped UFO hovering near the base's nuclear Weapons Storage Area (WSA), at which time the unknown craft sent down beams of light into or near the facility. No official record of that event has ever been declassified, by either the U.S. or British government.Taking offense to my challenge, Dr. Clarke responded in a follow-up post:The truth is exactly the opposite. The real "spin" is actually coming from the other direction - from the people who are actively engaged in spreading the idea that there is "really sensitive material classified-and unacknowledged" about alien visitations that the government is with-holding for inexplicable reasons. If people are disappointed with the contents of the files, presumably because they are full of "low level stuff", then perhaps that is because "low level stuff" is all that MoD ever received. I noted with amusement a note in this set of files from UFO desk officer Kerry Philpott, responding to a very similar statement from a correspondent-she said "this is as good as it gets."It is impossible to disprove the existence of "really sensitive material" about UFOs that is being with-held. And there are people within the UFO industry who recognise this and realise they can keep repeating this claim indefinitely because no one can ever disprove it.As I've argued on my blog, if such material existed, why hasn't someone sent it to Wikileaks? I'd make a substantial wager that no one will leak it because it doesn't exist.END OF DR. CLARKE'S POST Soon thereafter, other bloggers began making snide comments about my post as well. My own rebuttal-which UK UFO.org has refused to post-follows here:^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies." -Winston ChurchillAs noted in my last post, the former Deputy Base Commander at RAF Bentwaters, now-retired USAF Colonel Charles Halt, is on-the-record as saying that one of the intelligently-controlled UFOs he witnessed, in December 1980, had sent down beams of light into the base's nuclear Weapons Storage Area (WSA).If such a thing did indeed occur-regardless of the origin of those aboard the "elliptical-shaped" craft-would not such a provocative action be considered aggressive (warlike) with appropriate measures being taken by the officials involved-to suppress news of the incident? More to the point, would not official communications about the event been generated and shared between various groups within both the U.S. and British government? David Clarke claims that because neither the U.S. Department of Defense nor the British Ministry of Defence has released such paperwork (nor are likely to) it simply does not exist. In my 2008 book UFOs and Nukes, I presented Halt's detailed testimony about the incident at the WSA-earlier published by journalist A.J.S. Rayl-as well as the statements of a number of other ex-USAF witnesses to UFO activity near the WSA, including USAF Security Policeman (SP) Robert "Charlie" Waters, who told me,"There was some commotion in the WSA that night. Someone saw this object, I don't remember who, and called out to us. I think my ART partner was Rob Isbell, but I'm not certain. But we looked and saw this spinning light-a multicolored light, I can't really remember the colors-anyway, this craft was hovering and then slowly descended toward the forest. We ran up on one of the berms to get a better view of it. Then we reported it [to Central Security Control]. I remember I used a couple of expletives and was warned not to use profanity on the radio...The next morning, I talked to one of the operations officers who told me that [a small group of SPs] had gone out to the woods and had seen some burn marks on trees, about three feet off the ground. He said it looked like, whatever it was, had bounced from tree to tree coming down. The person who told me that wasn't our flight's shift commander. He was another officer, but I don't remember his name."Seeking details about the spinning light, I asked Waters if its apparent diameter was larger than a dime held at arm's length. He replied, "Yes! I would say it was, when I first saw it, as large as a, uh, cantaloupe held at arm's length! It was big! It was spinning and, I think, had a light on the bottom of it, but I'm not sure. I also think I saw something sticking out on the bottom, uh, like a rod or something like that." I quickly asked Waters if he ever saw anything resembling a beam of light coming out of the UFO. "No, nothing like that, at least what I saw. Nothing coming out and going down to the ground, or anywhere else."I asked Waters if the UFO had ever been over the Weapons Storage Area itself. He replied, "Not that I saw. It never came directly over our heads. It stayed just over the trees and moved [from our vantage point] slowly from right to left until it, I think, disappeared behind them. To be honest, I don't remember where it went, but it was descending when I saw it. It was pretty amazing. I didn't immediately think 'alien', you know, I was just perplexed. Also, I remember the animals were going crazy. There were cows mooing and, uh, farm animal noises in the distance. It was almost like they were screaming!"Waters' testimony is corroborated, at least to some degree, by others who were directly or indirectly aware of the UFO's presence near the WSA. In fact, there is a strong suggestion that the UFO appeared near the facility on at least two nights during the week between Christmas and New Years Eve. Those tape-recorded statements may be found in my book's chapter "Beams of Light" the link to which appeared in my last post.Aside from the witnesses at the WSA, I was able to track down and interview the two USAF air traffic controllers who had been in the Bentwaters tower that week, James H. Carey and Ivan "Ike" R. Barker, both of whom report tracking a high-velocity object during the period of the UFO activity at the base. Barker also admits to seeing the object momentarily, as it briefly hovered over the base, describing it this way:"I saw it out the window. It was basketball-shaped, and had sort of an orangish glow. Not bright orange, uh, sort of dim, maybe like the full moon would look behind a thin layer of clouds. There seemed to be something across the center of it, lighter-colored shapes like-don't laugh-like portholes or windows, or even lights, in a row left to right, across its center. Maybe six or eight of them. They were stationary, not moving across the object. But it seemed spherical, not flat like a flying saucer. I couldn't hear any noise. It wasn't huge, but I think it was bigger than an airplane. I would say it was maybe twice the size of an F-111. Now, there's a water tower at Bentwaters. If you were in the air traffic tower, facing the runway, the tower is almost behind you. [From my vantage point] the object was directly over top of the water tower, or just past it. The object [appeared] larger, maybe twice as large, as the tank on the water tower. It stopped in mid-air for a few seconds, probably 500-feet, uh, maybe a 1000-feet above the tower, then it left. I didn't see it turn, uh, rotate or anything like that before leaving. But what impressed me most was the speed this thing had. I have never seen anything so fast in my life! It was zoom, gone!"Both Barker and Carey estimated that the object covered 120 miles in 8-12 seconds, based on the 60-mile tracking radius of their "Bright 2" radar scope.According to Dr. Clarke's logic, the UFO sightings at the WSA, and in the air traffic control tower, never really took place because neither the Ministry of Defence nor the Department of Defense has ever released documents relating to them. (And, yes, according to Col. Halt, members of [the British Intelligence group] M-15 were indeed snooping around on the base following the UFO incidents. Dr. Clarke would presumably contend that such a thing never occurred because-to my knowledge-no official record of their involvement in the post-event investigations has ever come to light.)Importantly, it should be noted that the incident at the Bentwaters WSA was hardly unique. Over the years, I have secured witness testimony from several former/retired USAF personnel, including one squadron commander, which supports the reality of UFO incursions at WSAs at several U.S. Air Force bases, as early as 1949-at Killeen Base, Texas-and as recently as 2004-at Nellis AFB's Area 2. These sources' verbatim statements may be found in my book, although I would be happy to post them on this forum. Moreover, the Soviets apparently had the same problem. Declassified KGB documents confirm that a UFO hovered over the "rocket weapons" storage facility at the highly-secret Kapustin Yar base on July 28, 1989. One excerpt, based on eyewitness' accounts, reads:"One could clearly see a powerful blinking signal which resembled a camera flash in the night sky. The object flew over the unit's logistics yard and moved in the direction of the rocket weapons (nuclear warhead) depot, 300 meters away. It hovered over the depot at a height of 20 meters. The UFO's hull shone with a dim green light which looked like phosphorous. It was a disc, 4 or 5 m. in diameter, with a semispherical top. While the object was hovering over the depot, a bright beam appeared from the bottom of the disc, where the flash had been before, and made two or three circles, lighting the corner of one of the buildings...The movement of the beam lasted for several seconds, then the beam disappeared and the object, still flashing, moved in the direction of the railway station."END OF MY ATTEMPTED POSTING ON UFO UK.ORG^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ In short, the type of incident that Col. Halt witnessed at the Bentwaters Weapons Storage Area, although bizarre, has also been observed in the U.S. and the former Soviet Union, on many occasions. These were obviously important events, having no prosaic explanation, which would have been discussed in classified communications. The fact that those documents have not yet been released to the public, with rare exceptions, changes nothing. But some journalists will never get it, no matter how much data is placed before them. Rather than actually seeking out and interviewing the UFO sighting witnesses in these cases, to attempt to learn the facts, they will instead wait patiently for carefully-selected hand-outs from the government-in whatever country-which they will then use to form their opinion about what has or has not occurred behind the scenes. Unfortunately, many people will fall for these "expert" opinions and go on their merry way, none the wiser about the reality of the situation. As retired USAF Lt. Colonel Robert Peisher once told me, "Most people just want to keep everything on an even keel and live happily ever after by not investigating the unusual." Peisher was the commander of the helicopter unit at Malmstrom AFB, Montana, in 1975. In 2004, he confirmed to me that his crews had once chased a UFO away from the base's Weapons Storage Area. The silent and extremely bright craft eluded the choppers by racing to the nearby town of Belt, leaving the pursuers far behind, before looping back to the base and again hovering over the WSA. And guess what, Dr. Clarke, no documents about the incident have ever been declassified by the U.S. Air Force. So, I guess it never took place, right? Too bad the good colonel didn't have a Folklore specialist on his staff, to explain to him what really happened.More...See Also:The 'Real X-Files' Pt 6UFO Files Make Headline News SHARE YOUR UFO EXPERIENCEHELP SUPPORT THIS SITEABOUT DONATIONS Grab this Headline Animator

In this blog, we are going to look at what people are seeing all over the world. The Mexican government has been photographing UFOs over Mexican air space and releasing it to the public. Many governments are now releasing information on UFO activity in their country. In this "You Tube Video," you will see what UFOlogists are saying around the world about UFO activity. Here you will see what the Mexican Military is saying about UFOs.Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5 - Iranian Air Force witness and other people from 7 countries around the world testifying about aliens and UFOs. Part 6 - What does the crop circles mean?Part 7 - the Mayan Calendar is explained; the Space Shuttle IncidentsPart 8 - Space Shuttle explanation Part 9 - Crew talks about space craft just outside the shuttle. Astronauts talk about contact. Part 10 - Alien space craft in spacePart 12 - Aliens shutting down US Nuclear Missiles. Russia had the same problem with Nuclear Missiles and aliens.Part 13 - The results of the UFO Missile investigation. We had live nuclear missiles that aliens took control of. One thing for sure, we had a bunch of elite US Missile personal panicking during the UFO attack. The Russians were having the same problem with aliens and nuclear missiles. What does all this mean? All I know is that aliens are here in flying machines. Some are hostile and some are not. Space and the moon are full of aliens. Some try to help us while others kill us and our livestock.None of them want to hold a press conference in a CNN studio.

Please see my survey into at Camelot for higher information. A range of of these documents, films and artifacts were sound, but a insufficiently group were not. I was to cubbyhole these stow concerning categories, mostly documents and as well as hundreds of photos. What on this conferral, I was on view to photographs of UFOs and orthodox accurate of ETs themselves, moreover after everything else and alive. I became very noticeably aware between our government's involvement in UFOs and their occupants.Even though I sustain not seen any photos or documents that sketch any ETs ABOARD any of our space vehicles, I DID see photos and open documents about sightings of UFOs hip numerous space flights. Pictures and documents were clear and offer was no unreliability in my watch over, and but isn't, that offer sustain been sightings hip repeated of our space flights, at smallest possible up to the mid 1980's a long time ago I was expressly on view to this certain. Massive Mo Sighting

Massive Mo Sighting
Huge MO Finding

According to a Normal UFO Interconnect (MUFON) investigation order collect prepared on October 6th, 17 independent witnesses in the Kansas Town, MO area saw a great, low-flying unidentified object in the midst of 8 and 9pm on October 4th, 2011. Historical reports from October 3rd as a consequence rationalize such an object in the area of Lee's Assembly, to the southeast of Kansas Town. Self who saw unidentified flying objects on October 3rd or 4th in the Kansas Town, MO area are being urged by MUFON to stem send, in reality if self has photo or video evidence of the line.

Missouri MUFON Secondary Country Better Margie Kay has catalogued 62 the same sightings from the area in the considering 90 time, and a be equal with of 84 sightings in the state clothed in that time time. In cases such as this, wherever a great assume of witnesses impartially report what appears to be the especially object, a UFO investigation order acts in greatly the especially make public as it would were it a special notation. The order first considers all as normal in the works and man-made phenomena which possibly will make plain the line, maintenance in attention that hidden military activity and experimental-style crafts believe led to regular "sightings" in the considering. However, in this case, in the same way as of the great assume of witnesses in an municipality area, all reporting on the especially line from personality angles, the Identify order has been activated. The Identify order is a rapidly convey tentative order, which operates at high pre-eminence in authority to go into liquidation evidence steadily point chronic by means of the especially cruel tentative techniques used in any MUFON investigation.

The witnesses described an "extremely great" object by means of "multiple lights in a triangular shape on the divan side" which were "inside layer down". The object then observably flipped on it's side and deceased at a high rate of speed, weak spot a well-spoken. Bestow was a black contrail deceased delayed, which makes the object resonance as nonetheless it is I don't know terrestrial in nose. Witnesses believe as a consequence reported seeing other witnesses exiting establishments in authority to scrutinize the object. Substitute incident occurred on October 3rd, at 3:30, with a range of witnesses stopped up at a interest group incident saw a great UFO, and regular other filming and spoils pictures of the object. Highest of these reports slouch shadowy. The picture (upper) is the sole piece of photographic evidence of the line that MUFON has received so far. If you believe any information about this or any other UFO incident, file a free, private report by means of MUFON in order, and try to be as finish as that you can think of. To the fore photographs or video whenever that you can think of, and backing your eyes open!

Reading Notes Bertrand Mheust

Reading Notes Bertrand Mheust
This post is reviewing one of the classical books in French analyzing the sociological dimension of the UFO phenomenon, and how it relates to science fiction. The title would translate in English as "Science-Fiction and Flying Saucers". Once again, it is a book written in the 1970s, and thus before the Roswell/Majestic hysterical period of ufology. The full notice is:

M'eheust, Bertrand. (1978). "Science-fiction et soucoupes volantes". Paris: Mercure de France.

THE PSYCHO-SOCIAL HYPOTHESIS

Many websites, in French and English, categorize the French sociologist M'eheust as belonging to the so-called psycho-social hypothesis (PSH) in ufology. This hypothesis essentially considers that the UFO phenomenon has no material basis beyond misperceiving human-made aerial objects or natural phenomena. It also considers that UFO witnesses simply project images and notions drawn from the 20th century technological culture into mundane phenomena. In some instances, there might be some external influences that make one hallucinate, but the content of those hallucinations are filled with those images and notions drawn from our culture. This approach has been seriously criticized for ignoring many irreducible physical traces. On the other hand, researchers following this approach clearly showed that the UFO phenomenon is "too human" in its narrative structure to be of extra-terrestrial origins.

Contrary to many of those web commentaries, M'eheust does not agree with the PSH, simply because the physical traces cannot be ignored (pp. 20 and 39). In fact, he is considering that the UFO phenomenon shares many similarities with psi events (p. 17), and that there is no contradiction between the material and psychic dimensions of the UFO phenomenon (p. 39). Furthermore, he clearly states that he does not intend to close the UFO file like some people who support the PSH (p. 39), and ultimately provides a devastating critique of the PSH (pp. 211-219). M'eheust does not espouse strongly any particular hypothesis, but it is clear that he favours the parapsychological approach with a sociological twist. In my view, he is a pioneer of parasociology.

SCIENCE-FICTION AND UFOS

M'eheust got the idea of comparing the narrative structure of UFO sightings and close encounter reports to older science fiction (SF) literature when he read about the 1896-97 airship wave in the United States. His first reaction was to see striking similarities with Jules Verne's novel "Robur le Conqu'erant", published in 1885. Yet, M'eheust also understood that thousands of people saw the airships and that such a large collective hoax could not have been orchestrated at the end of the 19th century. Something else was going on. He then decided to do an extensive review of the SF literature mostly dating from 1880 to 1930. What he found is quite astonishing.

In the book he presents, on various topics, a few quotes some are from the SF and some are from real UFO reports. In each case it is impossible to know which ones are fiction (drawn from the 1880s to 1930s) and which ones are real reports (usually drawn from the 1960s or 1970s). It is also important to underline that the SF literature of before World War Two was already completely forgotten in the 1960s and 1970s, and most of that older SF literature was published in French while the UFO reports are coming from all over the world from non-French speaking countries. However, by 1930s, many American writers were inspired by the French SF and developed their own branch of it. Clearly, if there is a cause and effect relationship here, there is also a mediating element that goes across time and cultures. For him, the UFO phenomenon and SF have a common source in the creative power of the human imaginary (pp. 19-20) (and I would say in the collective unconscious).

M'eheust provides a detailed analysis of the SF narrative content, and shows how key elements of the UFO phenomenon were also very common in the older SF literature. For instance, the SF identifies two key types of UFOs, the "hard ones" in the forms of saucers, spheres, eggs, cigars, and "soft ones" mostly in the form of light that can change shape at will (pp. 56-61). The machines were described as having no apparent doors, yet an opening full of light appears with strange beings in the middle of it (pp. 170-171). The interior tend to be furnished in a very minimal way with metallic walls (pp. 61-62). These machines are described as either silent or making a buzzing sound; they move in an erratic way, in zigzag, make 90 degrees turn, fall like a dead leaf, stop and start instantaneously at very high rates of speed (pp. 62-64). Rays of light and various strange lights are also very common in this SF literature (pp. 68-80). Balls of light and physical forms fusing with each other's (pp. 81-83); materialisation and dematerialisation are also quite common (pp. 94-100).

Mental communication and induction from the people flying those machines was also a common theme (pp. 90-94). Mysterious healing and disease, temporary paralysis by strange rays of light are also found in that SF literature (pp. 102-110). Human machines and compass stopping to work and animals freaking out in the presence of those flying machines; aliens and human pilots immune to human weapons were also common story lines (pp. 110-116). Abduction by rays of light and levitation (pp. 160-164), and teleportation were also part of this literature (pp. 117-126), with the experimentation chambers (pp. 172-174). Again, we have to remember that many of these texts date back to before 1930, with a sizeable portion from before the First World War.

SCIENCE FICTION AND ALIENS

If this was just not enough, the humanoids described in the older SF have also many striking similarities to close encounter reports emerging from the 1950s up to the 1970s (when the book was written). Aliens with big heads and short atrophied bodies were very common in the older SF literature, as well as human mad scientists who shared the same description. The notion of having a big head as a sign of being more intelligent is something unique to the Western culture (p. 130), and it is interesting to note that early observations of ETs outside the US were quite different from the usual "Greys". For instance, when Vall'ee (1992) went to the USSR, the "aliens" were very tall and not looking like the "Greys". This was at a time when Russia was not yet "contaminated" by Western ufological myths. In the SF, the theme of the mad scientist who was working with only a handful of servants was very common. Although M'eheust did not notice it (probably because he wrote before the Roswell/Majic hysteria), but if one extends the theme of the lonely mad scientist to a collective of mad scientists, then you have a major conspiracy on the go. Of course, only the government would be able to have such a conspiracy able to go on... Once again, the narrative found in SF is very similar to the one found in ufology. Beyond the hairy beasts, the older SF focussed also on tall and beautiful aliens (pp. 136-138) (like the so-called Nordic race). Once again, this theme of beautiful "superhuman" is as old as the Ancient Greek mythology, and does not require much more explanations.

DEEP PATTERNS

M'eheust was not only able to show that there are very deep similarities between SF and the UFO phenomenon, but also that they are so extensive that it cannot be a matter of coincidence. But he goes further in showing that there are clear patterns in all this: UFOs imitate with a delay of 10 to 20 years what has been described in the SF literature. Although there were a few UFO sightings before 1947, they were clearly a few years ahead of the technology of the time: Airship wave of 1896-97, "upgraded" airships of 1909, jet-like ghost planes of 1933, space rockets of 1946 (pp. 188-195). Then, we have the events of 1947 which were just a decade before the beginning of the space exploration era started with the launch of Sputnik in 1957; and this is precisely at this point that UFOs started to become spaceships from outer space. For M'eheust, SF is an expression of the human imaginary that can anticipate in advance technical progress, and it is only limited by the capacity to imagine the future with what exists in the present. The UFO phenomenon occurred historically between the moments of something becomes imaginable in fiction but before it becomes an actual reality (p. 197). These periods could be described as liminal from the point of view of the collective imaginary.

Another important pattern is the dream-like nature of close encounters, already noticed by other authors like Vall'ee and Randles. The abduction scenario was also part of the older SF, and is imitated in the UFO reports. But the abduction scenario is a very old myth that goes back not only to the Middle Ages with fairies and elves, but also back to the Greek mythology. In such cases, people tend to have a mystical transformation because they visited some strange reality. The UFO is a modern version of what M'eheust call a "reality exchanger" (pp. 179-185) where one goes from one reality to another, where they receive some message or acquire some strange (and usually useless) knowledge. Although he does not mention it, this makes me thinking of the narrative structure of the Greek hero who had to go through the underworld and come back to become a hero. The Greek civilization had probably a more positive attitude towards these "reality exchangers" than we do. As posted before, it is interesting to note that American Natives have also a quite different attitude towards dreams and "reality exchange" experience.

PARASOCIOLOGICAL EXPLANATION?

For M'eheust the clear continuum between SF and the UFO phenomenon calls for a different approach to study it. He is referring on numerous occasions to Jung's famous analysis in "Flying Saucers". He agrees with Jung that the UFO phenomenon is something that needs to be understood as a shared myth, but disagrees with him when it comes to the issue of the materiality of the UFOs. So, M'eheust also introduces parapsychology to explain the phenomenon, and does hesitate to underline that the issue of materialization and dematerialization should be at the heart of the analysis. But he is also careful in that he notices that parapsychological explanations tend to be centered on the individual, and implies that the individual has a large role to play in the production of any psi effects. In the case of UFOs, such assumptions are hard to maintain, especially when there are many unrelated witnesses involved. Without really saying it, he opens the door to approaching psi from a different angle; social psi created out of the collective unconscious (understood here in a much more flexible way than what Jung is proposing) that is witnessed by individuals. In other words, although we are dealing with a human phenomenon, it is created and experienced at different levels of reality (or ontology). Here, we can make an analogy between an economist who studies the present recession and someone who lost his/her job. They both witnessing the same reality, but their respective perspective or ontological standpoints are quite different. I think it is time for parapsychology to entertain the idea that psi is also something that has multiple ontological levels, and the individual one is just but one of them.

It is interesting to see that someone, before me, came to similar conclusions about the UFO phenomenon. On the other hand, it is also a bit discouraging as I have the impression of re-inventing the wheel. My saving grace is that M'eheust does not explore in any depth the notions of social psi, and of collective unconscious (once again from a much flexible perspective than what Jung proposed).

THE NEXT WAVE?

Based on M'eheust's analysis of the older SF, it is possible to develop further an empirical model for parasociology. The collective unconscious gets a specific content out of the narrative stories of a society (arts and SF included). When such narrative stories as fiction push the limits of what is considered as possible and impossible (as in the case of SF), then new room is created for psi effects (based on my definition of psi developed in the post about Favre). This fiction then gets forgotten a few years later, mostly because as in the case of SF it is read by kids and teenagers; they become adults, they have responsibilities about the here and now. The imaginary additions to the collective unconscious through fictional literature have now time to "cook", hence the delay of 10 to 20 years. When there is a "crisis" (for instance the danger of a nuclear war, (for the US in the 1950s) or the end of a great power status and outlook (for France in 1954), the collective unconscious releases some of its content, which may cause poltergeist-like phenomena on a social scale (such as a UFO wave). Once the phenomenon is out, if it is properly cultivated by na"ive observers (i.e. ETH ufologists) then it can keep going on in a manner similar to a haunting (i.e., in a reduced and less ostentatious way), mostly affecting individuals rather than collectives. This is certainly a testable model for the next wave of social-level PEMIE (which may not be necessarily UFOs).

However, as we are now well into the post-modern era where there are a multitude of parallel and fragmented fictional narrative stories that push the limits of the possible, it is less certain that we will experience "highly concentrated" PEMIE on a social scale like UFO waves. In the last twenty years, the fantasy literature born with the "Dungeon and Dragon generation" may be the most common denominator. In this case, the imaginary is set in imaginary lands, contrary to the older SF which occurred mostly on contemporary Earth. This may weaken the imaginary power of such literature as it from the onset further estranged from the "real" world. The outcome of this, however, would be an increased number of people reporting being visiting other worlds without having a strong technological flavour (as in the case of UFOs). It is to be expected also that smaller crises rather than national ones will be the triggers. The present recession, which is having many local impacts, may be such a trigger. It is also possible to think that the CE4 scenario will mutate and fit better the fantasy literature narrative. The main narrative of the SF is that humans are both in awe and afraid of their own technology. The main narrative of the fantasy genre is the battle between good and evil where pure hearts and magic give an edge. The post-modern world being what it is, there is now a merger between the SF and fantasy genres. So the mutation of the CE4 narrative might be the best bet. This would translate into the abductees having to do something for the good in general. The experience would be less passive, but the something to do would be only meaningful during the PEMIE, and would appear absurd and meaningless once back in the mundane world. I expect it will be different from the "Space Brother" era and from Marian apparitions, where humans are asked to do something good in the mundane world (i.e., preach peace, pray, build churches, etc). The narrative of the new wave should involve doing something good within the PEMIE world. As well, if SF emerged at a time where technologies were fascinating people, the present-day era is marked by issue about collective identities and fundamental challenges to key metaphysical notions (i.e., clash of civilization, multiculturalism, globalization and culture uniformity, etc.). Hence, the stage is set to withdraw back into a culturally safer world, and the fantasy literary genre offers such a world, although it is likely to be mixed with other genres. In any events, this is a testable hypothesis but only time will tell. The key will be to ensure that these CE4 reports not conforming to the Grey ET scenario will not be excluded by investigators because they do not fit the ETH.

U.S. Nuclear Weapons Have Been Compromised by Unidentified Aerial Objects

Via PR Newswire

Ex-military men say unknown intruders have monitored and even tampered with American nuclear missiles

Group to call on U.S. Government to reveal the facts

Witness testimony from more than 120 former or retired military personnel points to an ongoing and alarming intervention by unidentified aerial objects at nuclear weapons sites, as recently as 2003. In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby. Six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence about these events at the National Press Club and urge the government to publicly confirm their reality.

One of them, ICBM launch officer Captain Robert Salas, was on duty during one missile disruption incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base and was ordered to never discuss it. Another participant, retired Col. Charles Halt, observed a disc-shaped object directing beams of light down into the RAF Bentwaters airbase in England and heard on the radio that they landed in the nuclear weapons storage area. Both men will provide stunning details about these events, and reveal how the U.S. military responded.

Captain Salas notes, "The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it." Col. Halt adds, "I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted-both then and now-to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation."

The group of witnesses and a leading researcher, who has brought them together for the first time, will discuss the national security implications of these and other alarmingly similar incidents and will urge the government to reveal all information about them. This is a public-awareness issue.

Declassified U.S. government documents, to be distributed at the event, now substantiate the reality of UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites extending back to 1948. The press conference will also address present-day concerns about the abuse of government secrecy as well as the ongoing threat of nuclear weapons.

Police Chase Ufo Over Cardiff

Police Chase Ufo Over Cardiff

By Laura Clout

The Telegraph

6-20-08

A police helicopter crew gave chase to a UFO after it almost collided with their aircraft near a military base.

The pilot was forced to bank sharply to avoid being hit by the mystery aircraft as the helicopter was returning to the Ministry of Defence base of St Athan, near Cardiff.

The three crew, who described the UFO as 'flying saucer-shaped', then gave chase, getting as far as the North Devon coast before they ran low on fuel, it was reported.

The police aircraft was hovering at 500ft and waiting clearance to land on June 7, when those onboard spotted the other craft hurtling towards them from below.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We can confirm the Air Support Unit sighted an unusual aircraft. This was reported to the relevant authorities for their investigation."

It was reported that the aircraft closed in at great speed, aiming straight for the helicopter which swerved sharply.

"They are convinced it was a UFO. It sounds far-fetched, but they know what they saw."

The helicopter crew are said to have crossed the Bristol channel in pursuit of the UFO, but lost sight of it and had to turn back due to a fuel shortage.

The sighting comes weeks after the most comprehensive Government files on UFO activity are opened to the public for the first time today and they disclose that even air traffic controllers and police officers have seen mysterious craft in the skies over Britain.

The sightings range from incredible tales of little green men visiting the Wirral to corroborated accounts from policemen and pilots of Unidentified Flying Objects hovering above towns and cities.

All were recorded on official forms, held by air bases and police stations, and compiled by the Ministry of Defence between 1978 and 2002.

Ufo The Permanent Marker

Ufo The Permanent Marker
The UFO mystery endures, but this 1956 documentary motion picture reposes in relative obscurity as its existence and historical importance go mostly unnoticed by a world in pursuit of routine matters and, all too often now, danger or frivolity. Should this be your first visit here, welcome aboard -- and be sure to start way, way back at the beginning to gain a full and consistent appreciation for the movie. Because nearly 60 years have elapsed since the film's release, I guess you could consider this a museum, but always keep in mind that antiquities sometimes shine a beacon on the future. Along the way you will find letters from major participants with whom I communicated, in addition to photos, posters, lobby cards and press book material. If the U.S. government's own investigation in the late forties and early fifties demonstrated that UFOs are real -- and these were refreshing times when officials were briefly forthright and honest about the evidence, unlike later on -- what are we to think? UFOs were a mystery then, and remain so. -- Robert Barrow

Ufo Sighting In Temple Texas On May 10Th 1980 See Below Statement
UFO SIGHTING IN TEMPLE, TEXAS ON MAY 10TH 1980 - SEE BELOW STATEMENT.

As I reported some time ago I've watched every TV show on UFO sightings to see if I could see anything similar of what myself & wife saw about 10 miles south of Marble Falls, Texas in the 1980's. It was a very dark but very clear night about 9 PM. Finally I saw something almost exactly what we saw on TV. A huge dark black object with dimly lit rectangular windows. Looked like a very slow moving house with no roof. It made no sound whatsoever & couldn't see any objects in the windows. It was very slowly moving from north to south about 60 feet above the highway we were on. Now at least I know we're not the only ones who have seen a similar object of this kind. No telling how many others have seen a similar object but haven't reported it to anyone. I have no idea if anyone else saw it that night as we continued on our way home to Stillhouse Resivor close to Harker Heights, Texas. Thanks to MUFON's efforts of making it known to the public there are unexplained objects everywhere. Kinda wish I could see it again & be ready to take live video of it to pass on to MUFON.

Date of sighting: August 19, 2013Location of sighting: Earths orbit following ISS

Now NASA was quick to jump in and say this is part of the space station that accidentally flew away and was not noticed for about 18 hours, however I trust NASA about as far as I can throw them. Look at the different shapes of this UFO. Yes I said UFO. NASA long ago used words like swamp gas, boogie, weather balloon. The new code word for UFO apparently is "part of the space station." Nice one and some quick thinking for guys sitting around all day long looking at their computer monitors. At least they did succeed in getting a great video of the UFO that was following them so long.

Why don't I believe them? A million reasons really, but the main one is that at a whopping cost of 100,000,000 US dollars this is not only the most expensive structure ever made and house humans, but also the most well made, hi-tech structure using the most genius minds of Earths scientific world. "Oops part of the ISS is flying away," is not going to work on this guy!

It's a UFO...if its not then prove it NASA, but stop making your lies and passing them to the public like they are sheep. SCW

Ufo Photos Leaked Out Of Nasa Jsc In High Detail
SEE THE UFOS NASA HAS DELETED: UFO PHOTOS LEAKED OUT OF NASA-JSC, 100% CLEAR IN HIGH DETAIL (Before It's News) Posted by Scott C. Waring, author, UFO Sightings Daily ALERT...NASA HAS DELETED ALL THE LINKS TO THESE UFO PHOTOS AS OF JAN 2013. :(UFO Sighting Photos leaked out of NASA-Johnson Space Center, 100% clear UFOs In High Detail! The UFOsshown in the video are in the NASA photos. It is a rare thing when a UFO photo sneaks its way out of NASA by accident, so this is a treasure for UFO researchers around the world.Waring writes, "Take a look at these amazing photos that were leaked out of NASA Johnson Space Center. The quality of the photos is almost HD and the detail we see of the UFO recorded by a NASA satellite orbiting are incredible. The most important question here is not what they are...space stations or ships, but is the species that built them still on board those ships? It looks to me that these photos were taken by someone that works for NASA and had access the famous "airbrush room." That is where they erase all the UFOs or alien evidence out of photos before they are released to the public. These photos are real, I stake my reputation on it." Exopolitics Institute author and researcher Michael Salla says "As the photos and video make clear, there is unmistakable evidence of UFOs of an artificial design that have been photographed by NASA's earth orbiting spacecraft. The UFO does not correspond to any known terrestrial spacecraft and appears to be alien in design. Nothing is known of the occupants, but Clark McClelland a former NASA employee who completed training as a Spacecraft Operator may have the answer.During a 34 year career working as a NASA contractor/employee, McClelland was responsible for ensuring the safety of numerous NASA missions including Mercury spaceflights, Apollo missions, the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle. In a statement released on his website on July 29, 2008, McClelland revealed that he witnessed an eight to nine foot tall extraterrestrial in association with a Space Shuttle mission he was monitoring from the Kennedy Space Center.McClelland wrote: I, Clark C. McClelland, former ScO [Spacecraft Operator], Space Shuttle Fleet, personally observed an 8 to 9 foot tall ET on his 27 inch video monitors while on duty in the Kennedy Space Center, Launch Control Center (LCC). The ET was standing upright in the Space Shuttle Payload Bay having a discussion with TWO tethered US NASA Astronauts! I also observed on my monitors, the spacecraft of the ET as it was in a stabilized, safe orbit to the rear of the Space Shuttle main engine pods. I observed this incident for about one minute and seven seconds. Plenty of time to memorize all that I was observing. IT WAS AN ET and Alien Star Ship!Furthermore, McClelland wrote that he was not the only NASA official who witnessed the incident: "A friend of mine later contacted me and said that this person had also observed an 8 to 9 foot tall ET INSIDE the SPACE SHUTTLE CREW COMPARTMENT! Yes, inside OUR Shuttle! BOTH missions were DoD (Pentagon) TOP SECRET (TS) encounters!'Waring admits he was a little taken aback when he saw the original photos. "How often do you get crisp 100% clear photos of a UFO and from non other that the US government to boot. With a source like that these photos cannot be disputed or debunked, but many have tried," Waring saysDon't take my word for it. Go to the photo links below and see them for yourself. Once you do, any doubt you once had about UFOs will vanish.According to Salla at the Exopolitics Institute, McClelland's testimony reveals that extraterrestrial vehicles and personnel are able to perform highly complex maneuvers in the vicinity of NASA spacecraft, and even perform docking maneuvers. This gives credence to whistleblower claims that NASA regularly sanitizes videos or photographs of any images involving extraterrestrial technologies or artifacts during space missions. Finally, McClelland's testimony suggests that there is a high level of cooperation between at least one extraterrestrial civilization and NASA/Pentagon. It appears that extraterrestrials may even be giving assistance in some space missions where difficulties arise as may have occurred with the tethered astronauts. McClelland's statement helps confirm other whistleblower testimonies of secret agreements concerning extraterrestrial life and technology (see: ). These testimonies have led to a civil society initiative to begin the process of nullifying all secret agreements concerning extraterrestrial life and technology. This video shows more UFOs captured by NASA cameras NASA JSC deleted the high resolution versions, and kept the low res versions.
