LAKE SAM RAYBURN, TX (2/6/2008) - Little green men in the Lone Star state? Within the past few weeks, KLTV 7 showed you alleged UFO sighting in Stephenville. The video set off a flood of calls and e-mails from our viewers claiming their own close encounters. One of those East Texans says she has video proof of UFOs that she didn't even realize she'd taken. She showed that video to us.
"Earth vs. The Flying Saucers: the whole world is under attack, can it survive?"
They've been a part of our culture since the fifties, conjuring up both our fascinations, and our fears.
Now, Whittney Sullivan says something made it's way to Lake Sam Rayburn. Last summer, Whittney was out on the lake, recording a family outing on her cell phone.
"I turned around and went like this back to them and when I went back to my face and I got a phone call," said Whittney.
When she got home that night to watch the video, she saw this: a foreign black object in the sky that she never saw earlier, and certainly didn't know she had recorded.
"I wish I would have been looking at the screen when I brought it back around to me," said Whittney, "Because I would have seen that and looked up in the sky, and seen what it was or where it went but I wasn't looking at it."
For just an instant you can see something, a flash, and then it's gone. But when slowed down the image evokes more questions.
"It's just weird that it showed up like that and nobody else saw it," said Whittney, "It's pie shaped, it's round and it has the perfect round in the middle. It's very strange."
Strange, and inexplicable, not only to Whittney, but to everyone she's shown the video to.
"A lot of my friends when I showed them the video they were like oh that's a blimp or a bird or a bug. But it can't be a blimp because it goes really slow, there is not many around here. That could be ruled out. I don't think it was an airplane because you can hear an airplane, you can hear it's jets. And it wasn't a bird. It's just really unexplainable I don't know what it is. And when she thinks about what it could be.
"If it was a UFO that is really scary because if we are sitting out there, not just us but other people around in that open spaces and there is other life flying above us and we didn't even see us," said Whittney, "How many other times did it happen and we didn't see it we want to know what you think it is."

The clear blue sky ensured the mysterious object sparkled, to the naked eye it appeared to be a bright star making an incredible daytime appearance.
One Virgie, KY witness was able to observe and capture images of the object with a high powered telescope. 150 times magnification revealed the long elongated almost truss like object with plasma beams traveling between two spheres at each end. The magnification required suggests the object was extremely high in the sky, possibly at the edge of space. Under closer scrutiny the object also appeared to be very mechanical in shape.
The ability to hover for over an hour also raises question of control and propulsion, gravity should have dragged it down in that time. The ability to fight gravity in a steady way also implies control.
According to the local Williamson Daily News "Employees of the Daily News and City Tire, which is right across the street from their offices, saw the object hovering for well over an hour. Customers of the automotive repair business also saw the UFO. Heads were turned skyward toward the object. At times it appeared to get brighter."
"Several jets appeared to fly in the vicinity of the UFO. Contrails could be seen zigzagging all around the object. This made for much speculation by those who witnessed the strange, airborne object."
Not wanting to conform the Pike county UFO looks like no other craft seen before. Looking so unusual and witnessed by dozens of people, this is obviously no stealth aircraft. The plasma beams traveling the length of the object may also suggests vast amounts of high voltage power are being used here.
Are there similarities with NASA's Tether Incident, had NASA been testing a dual tether magnetic propulsion system? Did the tests fail once again?
Here at Highpants we hear talk that NASA hasn't given up on Tether propulsion and that this was the final stages of the test, re-entry. The light show created was a result of high energy particles in the upper atmosphere that make the tethers glow like a fluro light.
"THE NASA TETHER INCIDENT"
The infamous Tether Incident occurred during a NASA experiment with a magnetic propulsion system that went awry, creating some of the most spectacular UFO footage in history. The tether itself was a spherical satellite with a mile long strand of wire or tether, which ran from the satellite back to the Space Shuttle. When the satellite was activated a high voltage charge would run through the wire creating a magnetic field that interacted with the Earth's magnetic field and create a form of magnetic propulsion. That was the theory anyway, the tether broke and both satellite and tether drifted off into space, only to be followed by what appeared to be dozens of UFO's.
The strange objects in the sky may this time be NASA's handiwork; the fact that so many witnesses saw the event may suggest that the bright glow was an unexpected side-effect. With such a brilliant day time light show observed by so many and creating such a buzz can the MIB be far behind.

Upon achieving orbit approximately nine minutes after launch, Soyuz TMA-13M, delivering the remainder of the crew, began a four-orbit rendezvous with the International Space Station. Soyuz TMA-13M subsequently docked with the Rassvet module of the ISS at 1:44 UTC on May 29. Hatches were opened between the two spacecraft just over two hours later at 3:52 UTC. The expedition ended with the undocking of Soyuz TMA-12M on September 10, 2014. The remainder of Expedition 40's crew joined Expedition 41.
The Expedition 40 patch depicts the past, present, and future of human space exploration. The crew wrote the description that follows: The reliable and proven Soyuz, our ride to the International Space Station (ISS), is a part of the past, present, and future. The ISS is the culmination of an enormous effort by many countries partnering to produce a first-class orbiting laboratory, and its image represents the current state of space exploration. The ISS is immensely significant to us as our home away from home and our oasis in the sky. The commercial cargo vehicle is also part of the current human space exploration and is a link to the future. A blend of legacy and future technologies is being used to create the next spacecrafts which will carry humans from our planet to destinations beyond. The sun on Earth's horizon represents the new achievements and technologies that will come about due to our continued effort in space exploration.

DESCRIPTION: I just wanted to contact you for more information on the UFO sightings that you have run across and ask if you have a website? Because what I have to tell you about a sighting that I had back in 1949 is one of the better ones. I was about eleven or twelve and I and my parents along with my two sisters were visiting my aunt in a town north of Sacramento called Citrus Heights, California. There were at least ten people all standing around the driveway talking because we were getting ready to leave, it was getting toward sundown and it was during the summer. All of a sudden my aunt said, what is that? We all looked up the UFO was moving from west to east in what I would call slow flight at about between 300 and 400 feet in altitude. At the time I didn't know what slow flight was. It also had a slipstream I could see. It appeared like a photo of the sun that you would see in a magazine at the time. It also was not very large with no sound at all and it gave off no heat at all no matter what it looked like it was not a meteor. There was no smoke or flames like you would see with a chunk of rock coming into our atmosphere. It was also under complete control because as it flew by and was at least a half mile away it made slow left turn keeping the same course and altitude. It was large enough to carry a small crew. There were houses scattered on property all over this area along with large hay fields across the street from my aunts property. It did not appear to have any fear of anyone on the ground at all. I doubt we were the only ones that saw this ship because in my opinion that is what it was.
Keep in mind too that in 1949 the military didn't have any thing like this because I lived several miles from an air force base and saw most of what flew in there because one of their flight paths was about a mile or two from my parents house. What I would like to know is if anyone has ever reported seeing anything like what I have described? Seeing this is what prompted me to start following the UFO sightings all these years. The only thing that might be what I saw is the sun ships that some South American Indians saw 1,000 years ago.

Earth-bound tornadoes are puny compared to "space tornadoes," which span a volume as large as Earth and produce electrical currents exceeding 100,000 amperes, according to new observations by a suite of five NASA space probes.
The probe cluster, called Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS), recorded the extent and power of these electrical funnels as the probes passed through them during their orbit of Earth. Ground measurements showed that the space tornadoes channel the electrical current into the ionosphere to spark bright and colorful auroras on Earth.
The findings were presented during a press at the general assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) in Vienna, Austria.
Space tornadoes are rotating plasmas of hot, ionized gas flowing at speeds of more than a million miles per hour, far faster than the 200 m.p.h. winds of terrestrial tornadoes, according to Andreas Keiling, a research space physicist at the University of California, Berkeley's Space Sciences Laboratory.
Keiling works on THEMIS, which was built and is now operated by UC Berkeley. The five space probes were launched by NASA in February 2007 to solve a decades-long mystery about the origin of magnetic storms that power the Northern and Southern Lights
Both terrestrial and space tornadoes consist of funnel-shaped structures. Space tornadoes, however, generate huge amounts of electrical currents inside the funnel. These currents flow along twisted magnetic field lines from space into the ionosphere where they power several processes, most notably bright auroras such as the Northern Lights Keiling said.
While these intense currents do not cause any direct harm to humans, on the ground they can damage man-made structures, such as power transformers.
The THEMIS spacecraft observed these tornadoes, or "flow vortices," at a distance of about 40,000 miles from Earth. Simultaneous measurements by THEMIS ground observatories confirmed the tornadoes' connection to the ionosphere.
Keiling's colleagues include Karl-Heinz Glassmeier of the Institute for Geophysics and Extraterrestrial Physics (IGEP, TU) in Braunschweig, Germany, and Olaf Amm of the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

It may be authentic (it may well improve) that some alien inspect found its way in this and crashed in Roswell NM. It may well to boot be authentic that our government retrieved it and covered it up. I don't understand that assertion too crunchy to beer. We sent out a sum of probes and I beleive a few were exactly so designed to be
"receipt cards" in the clash they consistently make it to some other inhabited planet. It doesn't severe reall environmental, but it is latent and one might harmonized say righteous. Now to involve that and innovation it to the repugnant alien invasion thing, that requires virtually a buffed setback of all disbelief and occurrence.
That doesn't mean it isn't authentic, but it would be relevant to trimming "proof" after that has been friendly so far.
