I think he talks a lot of sense and writes in a truly objective manner. But objectivism and UFOlogy do not necessarily make good bedfellows.
Labelling is always a dangerous game and one that within UFOlogy, is never really accurate, but for the sake of argument, I would call myself a fringe sceptic in relation to UFOs these days. Nevertheless, I do notice a trait among some of the more died in the wool lot that I call battle weariness. It is a state of mind that comes about from having been in too many philosophical fights, arguments, and exchanging of insults. This in turn induces a siege mentality and a degree of obstinacy on the part of the sceptic, an anticipation of reaction and an aggressive posture pre-assumed. Debates can only go in one direction.
I notice this attitude in Rod Brock. The root cause of it I believe is frustration. Rod knows he talks common sense and his despair comes about from the failure of others to see his point of view. There's no getting away from it but an attitude such as this is arrogant. There's also no getting away from the fact that when you call someone arrogant, it is impossible to do so without causing offence, and I don't intend to cause that offence. It's an observation. I don't know Rod Brock and can only make an assessment based on his writings.
What Rod wants to do is to change the world. He wants people who follow a fanciful, unsustainable path of thinking to snap out of it and see sense and reason.
He is obviously far from being a stupid man and his years of experience should tell him that he will never change people if they don't want to change. He is pissing in the wind.
And he's a long way from being alone. It is endemic.
It has always been so that those who consider they take an intelligent and considered approach to the subject of UFOs want to change the thinking of others. They despise the low life of UFOlogy and want to purge them so that the subject can be taken seriously. Cleansed of people who think ET is already here and there is a government conspiracy, more prestigious institutions will begin to take notice.
What this really is about is them getting to feel better about themselves, separating themselves from the madness and mayhem, and engaging their aspirations to a greater intellectual authority.
No matter how you circumvent this, you always come back to the same word; arrogance.
My argument is, forget it. Leave people be. Let them think what they want and believe what they want. Why shouldn't they?
Either quit the game or accept the status quo and recognise that you are in a field where some of your fellow travellers disturb you.
But trying to change the world, either surreptitiously by showing good practice or by haranguing folk constantly is simply pointless.

DIVISION 12. EXTRATERRESTRIAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION
Sec. 2-255.59. Definitions. As used in this division:
1. Extraterrestrial intelligent being means a form of life assumed to exist or originate from outside the Earth or its atmosphere.
2. Extraterrestrial vehicle means a non-living method of transportation originating from outside the Earth or its atmosphere.
3. Exopolitics means the study of the key individuals, political or other institutions, and processes associated with extraterrestrial life.
Sec. 2-255.60. Legislative intent.
The People of the City and County of Denver hereby declare that:
1. The presence of extraterrestrial intelligent beings and extraterrestrial vehicles on Earth, and within Earth's atmosphere, has been confirmed by credible evidence, official government documents, and whistleblowers formerly working for the U.S. Government and government contractors;
2. Evidence of extraterrestrial beings has been known by United States presidents since President Franklin Roosevelt, including President Ronald Reagan as disclosed in his presentation to the United Nations regarding extraterrestrial matters;
3. Since at least 1947, the United States government has denied knowledge of this evidence, thus placing the public and local governments at potential risk and disadvantage;
4. The United States government has suppressed, and withheld from the public, evidence of advanced clean energy, transportation and other technologies of extraterrestrial origin. These technologies could potentially offer substantial economic relief for our most pressing social and economic concerns, including a reduction of pollution and at least partial replacement of fossil fuels with affordable non-polluting energy sources, and other advanced technologies;
5. Local government officials have rejected or ignored the need to prepare city personnel and citizens for potential contact or interactions with extraterrestrial intelligent beings or their vehicles even though:

Hundreds of top military leaders, government scientists, government contractors, commercial airline pilots, air traffic controllers and NASA officials, many with Top Secret clearances, have been disclosing their personal experiences and involvement in interacting with UFOs not from Earth and, in some cases, their apparent extraterrestrial intelligent occupants;
c. A credible non-profit organization has received over ten thousand (10,000) written reports of UFO sightings, primarily in the U.S., during just the period Nov. 2005 - April 2008. The total number of reports nationally in 2008 was more than twice the number from the previous year. There have been more than 1,000 written reports of Colorado UFO sightings submitted to the same organization during the period of Jan. 2000 - April 2008;

I then noticed that there was another further south and then another etc. I counted 8 total all hovering at what appeared to be the same altitude. The triangle moved in an L shaped trajectory headed south toward the orange objects and so low it passed behind a grove of trees. When it emerged it appeared to be a helicopter. I don't mean I misidentified, I mean it looked like a white bottomed blue lit skid rail with a red rear prop light and white nose light which was not descernable through the camera. It traveled about a mile before it banked right on its side and dove like a high diver into the trees again no sound and only about 3.5-5 miles away probably over Meridean st. The orange lights would occasionally move in unison a short distance.I was shocked to catch a third set of craft moving fast and low together almost the same way a roller coasters carts look if there were only 2 carts and you could only make out two bright pulsing red lights in the low front fog light position. With a single pastel blue pulsing light in the rear higher than the fronts significantly. They were silent, very low and directly south of me headed west to east. They were the smallest and shortest sighting. The entire event happened over a 1 mile stretch of road in the area that I spent the better part of 27 years. I have watched these skies from this area my entire life and only experienced something this life changing once before. It should be noted that immediately after the second craft dove into the trees there was an intense static in the air and the smell of ozone was that of an impending rain squall. However, there wasn't a single cloud in the sky nor mosquito to swat. Please feel free to contact me for any additional info via email or phone. I assure you that this is legit as I have spent every night listening Coast to Coast am program while watching the rural sky and have waited for the chance to share an important event.
