Perfectly yellowish-brown and red lights floated agilely parts of Florida's sky New Year's weekend, plus in the Wellington and West Palm Seashore areas, synchronize off a state of wonder among witnesses.

But nation UFOs weren't so unidentified after all.

The itinerant bulbs and streaks were in all probability self-confident lanterns, said Brian Vike, draftswoman of the paranormal blog The Vike Article, which fielded about 250 e-mails, 30 or so from Florida, noting the nutty sightings inclusive.

"They're all lit up and pleasantly," Vike said. "They'll go up and down and slanting, so it looks good-looking baffling."
